I had one in Ensenada last week, frankly not as good as I remembered it and I didn't have more.
I used to get it here in San Diego but it's been a few years and I can't find it now. Ditto on Bohemia Obsura, apparently not imported. Easy to find
Negro Modello and that's my favorite anyway

For all you Noche Buena fans NOB, I just picked up a sixer at Trader Joe's called JB Winterfest. It's really quite good and very reminiscent of Noche
Buena.

Is that sold is some off-size bottle, like 20 oz?

yes, but I prefer to think of them as single serving size. Love the stuff.

I just saw it offered at Soriana in San Jose del Cabo.
110 pesos per 12-pack.
I have to grind my grain tonight and get the home fire-kettle burning!
11 days to 2 weeks until super-brew.

110 Ps today = $8.70 and that includes tax. That sounds pretty good to me.
BTW...it's the same price up here.

Is Noche Buena a Bock or Doppelbock beer?
The TJ's Winterfest is a Doppelbock. I personally took advantage of the TJ Winterfest beer being available in the stores throughout the entire year
this year (in previous years it was not). The TJ "Hofbrau" (green label) is a Bock beer btw.
What better place to enjoy a Noche Buena than....

You'll have to wait for someone more knowledgeable about beer than I am for your answer.

For the last several years I have bought lots of Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. That is their Christmas ale. I take a good stash of it to Mulege.
I have tried to find Noche Buena in early January in Mulege but it gets sold out immediately upon first delivery.

Word over here is that Casta beer is being terminated by the entity that produces Tecate. I believe they bought it a few years back. Very sad!!!

If your guilty conscience doesn't allow you to consume a 20 oz. bottle take heart, the Winter Welcome is only 18.7 oz. so have a few. Thanks for the
recom. Zac, enjoyed one yesterday. It was tas-tee!
Every year I make it a point to try Noche Buena but to date haven't been successful. Anyone know if it can be had in San Felipe around Navidad?

Tony,
Yes it is. I love the ESB's. One of our local taverns may just get some of the Celebration Ale in as a draft. I'm keeping tabs on that!
