Found more info on this AMAZING device. (Or it's Chinese knock off)
Translated to the English from the language spoken in the country of the Chinese:
How it works and what is does is now as clear as the muddy Yangtze River.
Quote: | Product Feature
All of our electricity supply is subject to surges from time to time, which result in spikes that can be damaging to your household electrical
appliances.
These spikes simply consume electricity, resulting in overheating, which shortens the life of our electrical appliances and wiring of our home. In
extreme cases electrical spikes can cause burns, blow outs and even power cuts.
The ePowerSaver helps to stabilize voltages and reduce currents in your power supplies. It improves the power factor by reducing the amount of
electricity that is used from our utility company. This is accomplished by supplying electricity locally at the load by the use of specially designed
capacitor. These advanced capacitor store the additional electricity needed for stabilizing electric current within an inductive load.(for example
when we turn on our air condition unit).
Therefore, the amount of electricity purchased from our utility company by a power factor optimization has been greatly reduced and resulting in power
savings for our home or office.
Now, with the help of ePowerSaver, there is a smart way to reduce up to 30% of your electricity consumption every month. No more high electricity bill
you have to pay. Now, you can Use Power With Le$$ Cost
Extra electrical power can also be loss naturally when being transmitted (call wire loss) or at the instant of turning on the electrical appliances.
Our ePowerSaver does not consume much electricity itself. You can on it continuously 24 hours a day all year round without its affecting your
electricity costs.
ePowerSaver is suitable for inductive and capacitive appliances, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, stereos, fluorescent
lamps, electric fans, televisions, etc.(please refer to FAQ for Electrical Products Comsumption Info)
It is so easy to use, just plug the ePowerSaver in any of the indoor outlets of single phase 90V - 250V/ 50 Hz ¨C 60Hz supplies. It will be more
efficient if you choose a location where there are fewer appliances nearby and closest to the meter.

It's an old scam. The device won't save any power. All it is is a capacitor. In order to have even the slightest bit of help, it would have to be on
the same line as an inductive device, like a motor, and then disconnected after the motor started up. An inductive load causes a phase shift between
the voltage and the current, with the current lagging the voltage. A capacitor causes a shift that is 180 out of phase from the inductive load,
thereby bringing the voltage and current closer togehter -- if everything is designed properly.
The only probelm is the power meter on your house doesn't care about phase shifts or power quality or power efficiency. It measures watts of energy
consumed. That device will not effect the power meter at all.

I know about volts, amps and watts, but what exactly is the "Power factor" ? I never learned about that unit of electircal energy.

Arrowhead is correct. There is no device that can cut your electric use. That said, I recall, back in the day, people I knew in SOCAL would carefully
cut the seal tag on their electric meters, pull them off and turn them upside down, causing the meter to run backward, which would actually cause the
reading to reverse. I had a friend who was actually caught by a meter reader, and feigned ignorance saying that he recently had electrical work done
and his electrician must have remove the meter and replaced it wrong.
There is only one device that I could recommend regarding electricity and that would be a combo power strip and conditioner. Use it with delicate
electronic devices such as your PC and TV. The unit will filter spikes and dropoffs in the voltage insulating the equipment from such activity. And it
will break the circuit in the event of a major problem.
High end audio stores sell some of these things for upward of $500. But there are some available for around $100. Check out Audioadvisor.com

DA: you must have been sick the day they teached percentages: The first one you use reduces your consumption by 30% resulting in usage at 70% of
normal. The next one reduces the 70% by 30%, resulting in an additional 21% savings for a total of a 51% savings, not a 60%. They're multiplicative,
not additive.

Looks like newbie BabyZarathustra, must think that Nomads are a gullible bunch with TWO posts, the two acre lot and now this
gadget.
Nomads have seen and heard it all so far. Tough group to pull the wool over the Nomad's eyes.
I also noticed that BZ is not answering some concerns on either post.

Hi udowinkler, I don't think anything about anyone before I get a chance to know them, (sorry, but I'm not judgmental) but it's good to know you have
seen & heard it all. Must be boring having nothing new to look forward everyday you wake up. Even though it is amazing that you speak for
everybody and you are a mind reader, I wanna be like you when I grow up.
Sorry for not answering right away. It's mainly because I still have things to see & hear in this world. I'm easily amazed

Vandenberg, too bad you took it that way. I want to think this is just the crap newbies have to get through to be part of the Baja Nomad bunch. Hope
it's worth it.
Anyway, just to clarify things. I wasn't being sarcastic just wanted to thank you for the welcome. Not everybody is a bitter, sarcastic know-it-all.
