The Company Party

My husband and I attended his work company party on Saturday night at the, "W" Hotel in San Diego. The dress was, "resort wear", and the invite had a palm tree with Christmas lights...I thought they were getting ready for Hawaii, but it turns out, they're getting ready for Los Cabos!

His company, Marine Group Boat Works, is opening up a new facility at the marina in San Jose del Cabo. This will make it convenient for all you Nomads to bring your megayachts in for repairs!

I'm hoping they'll offer to send my hubby down for a few months...a dream job...U.S. pay and living in Cabo! The only problem I can see is that as a welder, if he thinks it gets hot working in the Chula Vista summers with all his gear...I can't imagine the heat with the welding gear in a Cabo summer!

The irony here would be that after all the immigration hassle that it took to get my husband stateside, he wound up working back in his hometown!

Check out their website: http://marinegroupbw.com

I like the live pictures of their yard. You can see the skeleton of the boat he's been working on...maybe you'll even see Fito, he's the one with the blue shirt and helmet!

Oh yea, the party was a lot of fun, pretty snazzy place, great food, free drinks, and dancing...what more could you ask!

Hola Heather
Thanks for the information. The dry docks at Puerto Los Cabos are coming right along. I assume that is the same company.
We would love to have you and Fito as neighbors!

Thanks Judy, but we've got our trailer in San Lucas. My sister says that if Fito makes it down, then he can start working on the house! If only I could make my teacher salary and get my benefits, then we'd be there a lot sooner!

I think the facility is planning to open in March.
