I know this sounds weird, but the way our bay is shaped we will be watching it rise over the Pacific... from Campo Sirena...most likely from the
upstairs bar at the Beach House...warming up for the new years dance party....woooo hooo...we'll give a big new year's full moon HOWLLLLL to all our
nomad amigos!!

In Bahia de Los Angeles. What a wonderful way to say adios to the old year with the glow of the full moon over the bay!

Full moon, New Years Eve, now that sounds kinda scary.
What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

Kinda scary, maybe, but not as bad as '97 when Hale Bopp was passing over Bahia on New Year's eve. During the dance a house up the hill a bit blew up
with a big bang. Leaking propane tank. Everyone grabbed a freshie and stood out in the parking lot to watch it burn. It was rumored that it was the
last bit of Hale Bopp bad luck doing it's thing before midnight.

Full Moon on New Year's Eve?
What a wonderful event.
I hope that we will have clear viewing conditions, just like the weather is right now - santana northeasterly winds scouring out the clouds and
lowering the humidity (lizard skin, y'all).
We are usually blocked, here on the northern Baja coast, from viewing the November Perseid meteor showers, due to the overcast.
