Southbound after a few winks

Truck is packed to the brim. Alarm is set for 4:00 am so we should be crossing San Ysidro about 45 minutes later. After getting our FMTs, we should be on the road from TJ by 5:15 based on past experience. After breakfast at La Mision in San Quintin, gas in El Rosario and Vizcaino, we should arrive at our place in Bahia Asuncion some time between 6 and 7....just in time to unpack and get a few bacon-wrapped hot dogs at Chemo's... can't wait. Looking forward to two weeks of pure family time!

Happy Holidays Amigos!

We arrived at our place about 7:30. Traffic was heavy and we did our good Samaritan duties along the way. As we were approaching the salt flats, we saw a group of cars with their flashers blinking. We slow to see if they need help and sure enough there was a car stuck in the muck. I clear my eyes a bit as it was pitch black to realize one of the guys was our neighbor Arturo. I knew I had a tow strap somewhere....hmmm...I take out Gabriel's car seat and soon find it. A few minutes later, the car was freed and we were on our way.

And yes Shari, we did stop by Chemo's after settling in to get a few hamburgers to go.

Nice to be back in BA.

Glad you made it safe and sound. Have a great time.

And yes, those tow straps are very handy around there,
