Not sure if dnl is still checking this thread, but when I went to Cabo Pulmo the last time (it was either 2008 or 2007) I saw some "security" people
camping in the middle of nowhere. They weren't that many of them, but it looked like there are group of 2-4 at each post.
I was told that they are hired by developers and stay there to discourage locals and visitors who may trespass. Maybe you saw these people reporting
to their posts or they might be locals who were headed to confront those people?

Everybody who is an unknown on BajaNomads is 'Fulano'. They are lashing out and turning on each other in frustration.
Years ago there was a "Twilight Zone" episode where the aliens came to conquer the Earth. What they did was land on a hill outside of town and turn
off all the power to one-half of the town. The people without power became suspicious of the people on the other side of town that still had power.
The suspicions grew and grew and the people in the dark became more and more enraged. The side that still had power armed itself to protect themselves
from the people of the dark side. Then the aliens turned the power back on on the dark side of town and turned the power off on the other side.
As the episode ends, the entire town is in a riot killing each other and the aliens are sitting up on the hill commenting how easy it is to conquer
the Earth.
That in a nutshell is the "brain trust" over at BajaNomads. Dennis is the town's mayor.

Your description of security people seems to fit, with locals or some other bunch headed to confront them. We noticed some kind of out of place men
camped a way back from the beach, right by the road.

Maybe that Con artist Ray Novelli or bandito Mike Schaible are at it again.
