Check the cover of your passport. It says "United States of America". Not America.
That said, I enjoy Skeet's rants. Whether by design or accident, they are so over the top, they make me smile. On the other hand, David, You have
sadly injected political misinformation into this thread that clearly belongs in off-topic. Instead of spewing back everything that Rush and Glen say,
try your own research. Many facets of the proposed legislation will start immediately. That's all I'm gonna say here.

Yes! Many facets of the legislation ARE going to take effect right away. Namely increased taxes, and cuts in Medicare!
Who said this?
"The proper role of government is to protect equal rights not provide equal things."
Having said that, yes we need serious health care reform! We just don't want government to run it! Everyone knows that when the government gets
involved the result will be higher prices worse service, inability to run within a budget, and no accountability. Look at the Post Office! Look at
Amtrak! Blah.. I work for a local gov't agency and the mindset with well over 90-% of hte people in management is "Well its not my money, so we have
to have it". Blah..
If the plan is so great then all gov't workers elected and otherwise from the President on down need to be in the plan as well. Notice though that is
not going to happen...
Sorry, howodd pushed a button, I'll go back to being a quiet lurker again
Thanks Marla for your post, it's amazing the stupidity of some people and how as another person said teaches children its OK to break the law as long
as you pay to do it.

It's a misdomenor in California, unless your in it for money... also think that someone put up that Mexico put a 5 gram no harm no foul on it, along
with smack, blow and crank (go figure, at least consistent) .. along with undergoing a class to inform you of the dangers of "drugs"
So, be happy your living and drink up and go home ... smoke um if you have them...
Now I'm starting to wounder about all you that like Chinese food

Dude, the woman comes naturally fully equipped for surviving a crash and you think I should strap her down with a shoulder harness?
Unlike others on this board, I do not believe subjugating women as a good thing. Although some fur lined cuffs might be a nice Valentine Day's gift.

Dude! You need a small TV right in the middle of your steering wheel so as to not be distracted while driving.
By the way, have you ever played Arms Up? Oh...never mind. This is a family show. Besides, you don't want to be knocked silly.

I once went to a political debate and a discussion on Baja broke out.
Seriously, there sure are a lot of cranky old people here always trying to pick a fight with somebody. It seems to be worse now around the holidays.
I'm somewhat amazed the moderator tolerates all this.

Marla see what you started now. By posting a simple observation you have enraged many of the Nomads. Next time add a little flavor and excitement to
it. For example, while crossing the border we were pulled into secondary where to our surprise a shiny black CA car with several people in it were
pulled from the car and beaten with clubs. Then someone started shooting at which point we stepped on the gas and got out of there as fast as we
could. Does anyone have any info on what it was all about?

Yes, TW, those were Pochos (emphasis added by my local buddies) being welcomed back to the US.

A pejorative term, probably rooted more in jealousy. Go ahead and beat me up, but in my opinion, if they cross the border, behave and spend money in
Mexico, what's the problem?

You'll have to ask a Mexican. It's their feelings of betrayal that are of issue here. Not mine. Personally, I don't care who they are, where they go
or how much they spend. Not one of those three are my business.
