So I dont quite draw the connection between her prior editor of the GG Louis Drake of La Mission and her name on her blog of Marjorie ann Drake.
Please explain?

Yes Jesse, This is a Direct Quote

Recalled from the condescending "tutorials" that she gave me on how to properly run a newspaper business in Mexico.

The Gringo Gazette North claimed to print fifteen thousand papers, but they didn't distribute all the circulation. They sold off a large part of the print run to a pinata factory.

I also remember some complaints that came into our Rosarito office some years ago saying that copies of the Southern version of the Gringo Gazette were lying piled up in a warehouse, but I can't confirm whether or not this was true.

Never heard her say exactly that but I've overheard far worse. She's certainly more than capable. It's amazing what some gringos down here will say in their own company... even in front of the hired help.

You shouldn't. Lois Drake was a personal friend, now deceased. She wasn't an editor. And she couldn't stand Nancy or Carrie.

A big mistake many make is to think that just because some Mexicans stay silent even when hearing offensive comment about Mexico or Mexicans, means they don't get it, or don't have the guts to do something about it. Trust me, they do, and they will like we say here "dejarsela ir toda" (let it all fall uppon them) when the time is right or get a good chance.

Too bad it takes years for some to understand that.

I Was So Disillusioned

By my experience with these "entrepredators", I tried to block it all out.

In retrospect, I should have kept my file of past editions of both GG's North and South, especially the copy of the issue that featured Duncan's use of the "n" word repeatedly and not in an ironic, "down with-the-hood" kind of way.

I could have written a book that would have been a great read.

:lol::lol: That's right, David. I sit here at a huge console littered with buttons, each with a name on it. When I want someone to make a statement, I push their button.
Here...allow me to demonstrate by pushing the DK button:

"Hi there Nomads. I'm going to show you guys seven thousand photographs of a three mile dirt road in El Whatevero that we just love to drive back and forth on. It's a secret place so, I can't tell you where it is because it's...well...like I said, a secret. Besides, it's only for conservatives."

See, David? It's all me. Gotta go now. The pot needs stirring and it's my job to keep these Rosarito folks agitated.

Push those buttons Buddy!!!!
I didnt mean to through you under a bus:biggrin:

It means that you won't have loyal employees, it means that if hey get the chance, they will not move one finger to help you if your in trouble, or help competitors or authorities to damage your business. It means you think your smart, but your very stupid.
