Portable Fridge Wanted


I am looking for a mid size Dometic or Norcold Portable AC/DC Cooler/Fridge. Approx. 1.5 cubic feet. Marla 760-213-3004

Electrically, Chest/cooler compressor type units are the most efficient.

Engel makes an excellent product.

Not cheap, but those types (coleman, ect)sold at wally world use a minimum of 4 amps continuously and should only be operated while the vehicle's engine is running. Try to run one of these overnight off your car's battery and you will wake up to a dead battery and warm food.

The Engel above draws less than 3.2 amps, and only while the compressor is running, which should be under 30% of the time in under 95 degree ambient temperatures.

I got my front loading ac/dc 1.7 cubic foot Norcold from here: They also sell portable chest types.
