He was a crusty sailor, I loved his off color humor and way of telling it like it was. He will be missed and remembered every time I drink from my Captain Harris coffee mug. RIP Capt. Phil and may God be with your family and guide them through the trying times ahead. Connie

I love that show. Sad to hear. I remember a couple of years ago when he had a medical scare while the show was filming and how upsetting that was. So young, too. Rest in Peace, Capt.

Whenever I hear that rainy, chill wind blow. I think it may be time to head for Mexico. Tengo que obedecer mi corazon!

Great show... makes you understand why king crab legs cost as much as they do!

Thanks Capt. Phil for allowing us to see your world as you lived it with gusto!

Capt. Phil should be the new anti-smoking poster boy.

Deadliest Catch is a great reality show and Phil was a big part of it. Cigarettes, Red Bull, and coffee along with no rest and plowing through ice and 30 ft. waves is really burning the candle on both ends. Tough way to make a living pulling crabs out on the Bering Sea. Makes the Sea of Cortez look calm as a millpond in it's worst storm.

They made him watch one too many of his boring, redundant crab fishing episodes. If you saw twenty minutes of it, you saw it all.

A massive heart attack, brought on by the crab from hell coming after him!

He had a stroke while on his boat off St. Paul island up in the Bering sea north of Kodiak. He was probably reading one of Dennis's posts on Nomads at the time.

I'm sure that there is a huge family of fishermen that are missing their friend badly. It doesn't seem right to poke fun at someone's passing. I feel very sorry for the loss that fishing community is feeling right now and probably will for a very long time.

Who's poking fun at Phil Harris? I'm poking fun at the moderator.

My wife has fished Baja..........shall we talk about the mole behind her ear on the General Discussion Board?
