New Road to Puerto Penasco

Hi, I want to take this new road in April and I do not
know how to get to it, I will be coming across The Tecate toll
road toward Mexicali and some one has told me that there is
an exit to get on the new road. Unfortunately the
Mexico Map that I have does not show this road yet, anyone
out there that could help me would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

The New road is from EL GOLFO DE SANTA CLARA to PUERTO PEŅASCO... Both in Sonora... It parallels the coast, a bit inland between the two places. The road is well signed... It connects with the SAN LUIS, R.C. to EL GOLFO road, a short distance outside of EL GOLFO.

The shortcut to EL GOLFO is to go south of MEXICALI on HWY. 5, about 30 miles to BC HWY. 4 (where the 4 lane HWY. 5 becomes 2 lanes)... take that to COAHUILA, then cross the state border to LUIS B. SANCHEZ and RIITO... and continue south towards EL GOLFO.

Thanks,

What I told you was how to get onto the new road to San Luis Rio Colorado. It's the second exit after you come down the mountain from Rumorosa and is a toll road but the toll booth is after you travel about 20 miles. After you pass thru San l
Luis I have no idea, but David K says the 2 connect.

While you could remain on the Toll highway all the way to SAN LUIS, R.C., SONORA... then head south to EL GOLFO. I was describing the short cut via COAHUILA (BC #4).

The Toll highway (2-D) is signed for San Felipe just beyond the Laguna Salada valley... that is a short cut to Hwy. 5 for the Coahuila short cut to El Golfo or to San Felipe...
