I am so sad for the family's of such a lovely child.

the laws regarding these F'n dirtbags. |
There are two solutions to this problem:
One solution is to change the system. You (all of you) vote for legislators who "make" the law; prosecutors or District Attorneys who enforce the law
and prosecute the violators and judges who sit on the bench.......your vote can help change the system. It is broken and needs to be fixed, and damn
the cost.
I am not only talking at the local or state level, I also mean the federal level........remember who appoints the Court of Appeals (9th District in
California) and Supreme Court Justices.
These animals need to be put to death or locked up for life.......there is no rehabilitation for a pedophile or sexual predator.
The second solution is to take care of the problem yourself.....in the old days of the west, there were people that you could hire.........
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Have_Gun_%E2%80%93_Will_Travel
........but these days, we have very few Paladins.....or others who have the stomach for what needs to be done.
We are a nation of sheep, wolves and sheepdogs. The majority are sheep, there are plenty of wolves, and very few sheepdogs..........
http://www.gleamingedge.com/mirrors/onsheepwolvesandsheepdog...
....we want and need the sheepdogs, but unfortunately, when the sheepdog does it's work, there are always those sheep who feel the need to
criticize.........
If you have not looked at the site, you need to......and bookmark it. Check it every week...... you never know who your neighbor is.........

Totally agree, there is no know cure to the Medical Profession, yet there are those who upon observation and testing make determinations which cause
these individuals to be released.
Perhaps if these individuals the "Doctors" who sign the release papers incur criminal liability for their actions.. there would be a very quick change
in their evaluations and recommendations to the parole boards...
You can't have it both ways.. I'm a doctor and in my opinion this individual is ready to reenter society, but don't hold be accountable if the
individual reverts back to their old behavior, and I can't be held for may actions which were in writing .. Please.. Then let them live with you or in
your neighborhood.. Doctor
Now what's up with that... will voting take care of that... NO.. but personal responsibility for one's actions would!!!!

Would anyone know the individual who made the recommendation for release to the Parole Board?
It would be very interesting to have a good look at this individual... or would that be considered Politically incorrect..
Let's see what can be generated about this issue.. and/or individual who is really responsible for this young woman's death... the individual who went
on "record" that this person was "fit" for society...

Wiley, I think it is deeper than that. They probably have a set of guidelines developed by legislators and lobbyists.
The whole sexual offender system needs to be changed to protect the victims/communities.

Child molesters are never cured. EVER! With that in mind when they finish their prison sentences all child molesters must be placed into a state
mental facility for the rest of their lives under a civil commitment. If these people are let out into society they will re-offend as many times as
they can until caught again. That's how I see it!

Horrific and random crimes have a way of bringing out the torches and pitchforks. The "bullet in the back of the head" solution is made as a panacea
to all our ills. The detail wherein the devil lurks is when do you pull the trigger - and who's head do you shoot? The medical community provides
technical advice based on the information it is given. They don't make the decisions - why would you want to make them accountable for something they
have no part in. Keep in mind that at Gardeners sentencing, there were opposing medical reports, as well as community support for him. As for the
person making the recommendation - that's all they did. The Parole board signed off on it - why not make them responsible? After all is said and done,
you've basically taken out the parole board, the doctors, the defense attorney, the prosecutor, the judge, the DA - that's alot of bullets! And what
do we do with Rothlisberger - shoot him too? This is the 2nd time he's been looked at for a sexual crime - clearly he can't be cured!! Very unworkable
and very Stalin-esque. Currently, we don't have a solution because we are in the unfortunate position of having to wait for a crime to be committed
before we can punish the crime. What we do have is DNA. We have genome mapping. If we can screen the genome for propensity to ahlziemers, we possibly
may be able to screen for violent behaviours. It sounds like eugenics, and there are civil and privacy minefields to navigate, but it sure as heck
beats indiscriminate use of bullets! So please, stop listening to Rick Roberts, think for yourselves, and think about real solutions that don't
involve pitchforks and torches. Oh yea, and visit baja often - the locals desperately need the cash!!
Whoa there, Cowboy - pull back on those reins!

Here's the rub:
First, I would have no problem in either death or life-in-prison. But a sentence then life commitment is inherently unfair to the legal
process. You could effectively make the same case for any criminal regardless of offence. Let's do it right the first time and put these
monsters away for good...Or kill 'em.

In this guys case he will be eventually killed. That said, other innocent victims would not have been victimized by this dirt-bag had he been put away
for life in a mental institution under a civil commitment for being a Sexually Violent Predator! My heart goes out to those families this scum-bag
victimized!

Execute violent sexual predators upon undeniable proof of guilt! I will volunteer my services as needed. Qualifications- U.S.M.C. Expert rifle and
handgun ratings. A wife, 6 sisters, 8 nieces, Mom, 4 aunts, 4 sisters-in-law. To think that these people could access the people I care for most is
reason enough to put them to death!
