Here is a theory:
The pumps get checked by 20 lts tests performed by PROFECO. When that happens, the pump computer "thinks" it is being tested and self adjusts to give out the correct amount. When on the other hand somebody asks for.. say 200 or 300 pesos, the pumps reverts to the "short liters" version -as programmed-. So... one needs to ask for 20 lts increments. (20,40, 60, etc)
Makes sense?

All you need to do is compare different stations using the same container. If one station puts 23.45 in a 19 liter container that another station can only get 20.1 in you know something is amiss.

I would actually like to know why a post of mine was deleted. It did not personally attack anyone. And it actually had additional information that complimented a prior post. That said, I'm guessing that David k has more juice around here than should be allowed.

Well, I just felt like deleting it. It made me feel powerful. You didn't know I was a moderator here, did ya.

Maybe before your time here:......DENNIS FOR MODERATOR

It was a fun thing that that became reality. Hell.....I moderated myself so severly once that I was out of here for three months.

Be careful...I mean it. If I have to moderate you more than I have, I may be out of here forever.

You don't know what I'm talkin' about...do ya.

It is very difficult to admit being clueless. So, I won't. However, I'm sure there were folks on this board who saw the exchange, and I still would like to know how the exchange got deleted. No attack. No political crap. Poof. Gone. And for good measure, even if i have become legally insane, why do I remember 'the man' saying that Antonio Munoz ran the "THE" most honest Pemex station in the world? Gotta go. Gurney is here. Shock treatment soon.

Just to add to the meaningless quality of all this stuff....I have over eleven billion posts here and not ONE has had true, important meaning.

If a Post Disappears From Nomad

And if there is no one to report it, does it really exist?

Bob, I took my wifes measure cup and put one gallon water in container. Than bought 19 liters of gas, pour from one can to container than to other gas can five times. So close I couldn't b-tch. My question is does gas use the same amount of space as water does since gas is lighter in weight ???:lol::lol::lol:

Depends on ambient heat. That's why I said, buy gas in the morning. It expands with the heat of the day.

Oh, yeah....I'm not Bob. I'm just in the mood to talk. Forgive me.

Yeah - the newer Vizcaino station - just a tad outside of town going south, seemed pretty expensive when I bought just 1/3 tankful. I thought the prices were all the same, and there was nobody there, so I stopped. I'm glad I didn't buy a whole tank of gas.

Maybe we could petition to bring back the old gravity feed pumps. That way you can see exactly what you are getting:lol:
