Seeking good vale todo/MMA gyms in TJ

Anyone on here train at a Vale Todo gym in Tijuana? I am looking for a cheap place to practice kickboxing, preferably in Playas but I know there is less options there.

Thanks.

By the way, I want to add that this is a really cool website, and thank whoever is responsible for building it.

I have made brief forays into Baja for almost a decade, but only this year have I started spending a lot of time there. I have a girlfriend who lives in Playas and I stay with her a lot. I am trying to get my work situation in SD situated so I can live with her half the week there.

People who talk badly about TJ just don't know. I really like the city. And I am very much looking forward to exploring the rest of Baja more. So far I have only been to Ensenada (briefly), Rosarito, Mexicali, and San Felipe (twice).

I assume you don't read Mexican newspapers. Seems they have the current monopoly on trash-talking Mexico.
But, what do they know.

With Respect, Seach the Internet With Certain Keywords

I know that there are a certain amount of those kind of gyms in TJ, but they move around their locations frequently, for various reasons. You need to do a bit of homework and the Nomad board is most likely not a your target audience for information on this very particular sport.

Try frontera.info or the other local media outlets. Use "Vale Tudo" as a keyword phrase.

googling for an MMA gym in TJ is not easy.

This guy, Edwin Aguilar is good. He also speaks English, though it's not great.

If you need any gear let me know. It's hard to find in Mex.

I know google. Have tried it and not had much results. Thanks for the links posted for further info.

Not sure why I got flack for saying I like TJ. I speak to people in SD who say NEVER go to TJ because YOU WILL DIE a long agonizing death, after being kidnapped.

The State Police did raid the neighbors house this morning in Playas, fully auto and ready for war. Not sure how they got through the two Rottweilers that snarl at any passerby (with pepper spray? Tranquilizers?).

I wanted to stay and watch but my woman freaked out and dragged me away saying they might shoot me for spectating.
