Gourmet Tacos and Beer

Since we did not have time today to head across the border we just had a nice lunch at our favorite local gourmet taco shop, Lucha Libre

http://www.tacosmackdown.com/

They had a few beers from Cucapa Brewing in Mexicali we had never seen before and we tried a couple. We had the Obscura and the Chupacabra and they both went well with the Surf and Turf Taco and the TJ hotdog, no surprise?

Now back to your regular programming.:smug:

I'm a fan of Microbrews. Can I buy this in Baja...I go frequently to San Felipe. Anyone ever purchased it there?

Whenever I hear that rainy, chill wind blow. I think it may be time to head for Mexico. Tengo que obedecer mi corazon!

ElGato, your referral is at the top of my list. Ocean Beach is one of my hangouts when in USA, so I'll be close to Lucha Libre.

Nice logo they have, too. The Cucapa beer could earn LL 6 stars out of 5 in my Dive Dining review.

+1 on grace59 question: Where is Cucapa available around COASTAL Baja???

M y B,

Do you think that we will have time to break away from the best chili ever prep session to visit Lucha Libra when I'm there in June?

Can't wait,

EGL,
Bike ride on my next S.D. trip would be great. My bicycle has only seen a few miles in S.D., so I'm not familiar with the trails. Should be up sometime during
week of May 10 and will holler in advance to pester you.

Got boat back in water today after 4 months in dry dock. YIPPEEEE!:tumble::spingrin:

Matt, just heard about this place the other day. It's getting rave reviews. It's on Washington Street, right? I wanna try it.

sorry for the diversion, but Bia and i had the most authentic Peruvian food today in Pacific Beach.

http://www.thelatinchef.com/

the owner is from Cuzco. no alcohol is served and the place is small, but the food is as good as Bia's mom makes it, which is saying it is the real deal. they also have some Brazilian fare.

check it out!

p.s. the pescado a la mancho was UNREAL!:saint:
