Ya just never know.....
One of the kazillion things I love about living in baja is that you just never know what's gonna happen on any given day.
I got a call on the radio from a visiting yacht....turns out the captain is an old pal of mine from British Columbia so we were invited out for a
visit. So we load up the family into the panga and arrive out to this fancy fishing machine.

we were plied with alcohol of every description and had a wonderful time with Captain bob, the owner, his pals and crew.

They had a rough trip bashing north from Cabo and were hungry but nobody wanted to cook...so Sirena's boyfriend Adrian offered to whip up dinner.
Adrian is a fantastic cook and bartender so he stepped up to the plate.

while Captain Bob got reaquainted with Sirenita who he hadn't seen since she was a toddler

We had a fantastic dinner and afterwards the captain asked Adrian to accompany them on their voyage up to Ensenada!! those lucky guys will be eating
well for the next few days for sure and Adrian will most certainly have a new experience...he's never slept on a boat before!!
Ya just never know what's gonna happen!!!! One day you are raking up leaves and the next you are cruising on a luxury yacht....gotta love it!

Life is full of wonderful surprises. How cool was that?!

spontaneity is common here in baja...it's hard to make plans in advance as there are so many factors to consider and things to go wrong...thus
mostly...well...things just happen on a moments notice without much warning or planning involved.
This kind of life does takes some getting used to but is actually really great once you open your mind to it... because one doesnt have to spend alot
of energy on worrying and organizing...things just happen and you deal with it on the spot...go to the store...whip up some food....put aside what you
were doing and go with the flow.
Just now I heard a horn beeping outside....it was a busload of 30 kids from GN who are here to tour the aquaculture facility...the teachers are old
amigos of ours and so we are taking the group to San Roque for a BBQ...so, as it goes...todays Plan A gets thrown out the window! Off to the beach
then...hasta luego amigos.

Spontaneity is not hard to get used to...working is. Glad Adrien was able
to take advantage of the opportunity.

Gee...
I hope those photos of Juan and Adrain don't show up in your local community. We wouldn't want them being outed as gringo brown-nosers.

The same builder?
Sheesh...the place is getting overrun with these things.

Now I know what I want for my next B-day!! One of those things!! lol
Great fun with the guys!! It's amazing the people you get to meet in life!!
Thankfully doors are opening left and right and this particular door was especially awesome for Adrian!

How cool is that! Shari and Sirenita, any chance you can talk Adrian into writing a trip report? How long will it take them to get up to Ensenada do
you figure?

I'd love to be a fly on the wall on that trip! I figure they will take 4-5 days as they fish along the way...stop and anchor at happy hour(which lasts
a long long time) and generally take their time...this is a booze cruise party boat!
I'm sure Adrian will prefer this gig to his last one that was cooking outside in the wind on a small camp stove for a school group of mostly hippie
vegans!!!
