Gonzaga run 6/6

It's been 7 years too long since I've been there so Camotito and I are hoping to make a run down to Gonzaga Bay from San Felipe on or around June 6.

Ideally, would like to tow the buggy as far as the new pavement lasts, then unhitch and take off in the buggy for the remaining rough portion down to the bay. I understand the pavement makes it as far as Huerfanito? Is there a secure place to leave my tow vehicle overnight around there?

Anyone else plan to be down there or would like to caravan?:tumble::spingrin:

As you know the weekend you are thinking about is the Baja 500..
I was on the paved road about a month ago and it is paved all the way to Huerfanito and road construction has begun toward Gonzaga. In fact they have graded the old road to use it as an access road to haul equipment and material. Now, there is only about 20 miles of the dirt road left in it's usual state we are all so fond of north of Gonzaga.. We can now truly say do you remember the road when it was ##@@!!** from Puertecitos to Gonzaga...
The road is so good now why not take the buggy all the way down??

Have a fun time with your son Camote! Remember the days when Chris and Sarah where four wheeling with us all?
