Baja in t-minus...

It has been since January 2009 since I have ventured into Baja California, Norte and finally, I can return...with my newlywed wife.:bounce:

In October, 2009 -- I took this wonderful photo of the Baja Frontera from 30,000 ft. while returning from Bogota, Colombia.

Today, she was approved to become a permanent US resident, and our travel plans are open to:

- Puerto Penasco
- Alfonsinas
- Ensenada
- La Paz
- Rosarito/Tijuana

The Jeep is ready and so are our Passports & Documents! :bounce:

Muchisimas gracias, irene. I literally cannot wait to feel the warm, humid nights along the Sea of Cortez. To taste the fresh seafood. The fresh tortillas, warm Pan Dulce, and sizzling Mariscos...

:bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:Baja, here we come! :bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:

Congratulations and welcome back to Baja! I'll be there on Friday! Can't wait! Washington is still cold and wet! Save me some of that warm Sea of Cortez sunshine!

Whenever I hear that rainy, chill wind blow. I think it may be time to head for Mexico. Tengo que obedecer mi corazon!

Ken the two of you hop in the jeep and spend a lovely evening in Ensenada wining and dining this Thursday. On Friday make your way to the Baja Cactus hotel in El Rosario. Saturday morning join us at Santa Ines for a trip to a Mission Indian wedding party in your honor. I'll bring the champaign and maybe a cake.

Congratulations!

I'm on a countdown to a Sunday launch, I've never driven all the way to Los Cabos and I finally got the green light from the wife.

5 guys, 2 trucks, 14' fishing boat, 3 quads, surfboards for 14 days all the way to Los Cabos... it's gonna be good!

No worries

COGRATULATIONS. My Canadian wife is having her final interview for US resident visa in Cuidad Juarez on 6/8. Can't wait for her to get this so she can start doing her own shopping in the US:biggrin:

Congrats Ken!

Robert, Why does your Canadian wife need to go to Cuidad Juarez? Either I am a little slow or missed an inside joke. Either way, help a brother out. :?:

Unfortunately, Leidys cannot use her passport until she receives her Green Card in the next 2-3 weeks. Her K-1 Visa was cancelled and we have to make sure that once she leaves the USA, that she can return without difficulties. So, we have to wait just a little bit longer before we can leave.

She really wants to visit a busy, bustling city with music and art - TIJUANA! I want to eat seafood and relax on the Sea of Cortez - ALFONSINAS! We have to wait just a little while before this can become a reality. But, the good thing is that BAJA AWAITS!!

Ciudad Juarez has a US Consulate where she can apply for a DCF (Direct Consular Filing). Good luck with your residency interview in 2 weeks.

Congratulations Ken and be sure to introduce her carefully ... Baja grows on you, a little bit at a time ... I think a lot of guys just throw their wives in too fast and expect them to swim ... and they sink :(
Both of you should consider visiting LA BOCANA ... we are off the beaten path but very cool place and reasonable rates : )
great for walks all year long and great for fishing aug to dec

Come visit La Bocana
