Forgot to mention, it's 39 degrees right now as the sun begins to peek over the mountains.

I'm ready to see the dreary overcast melt away and to shed the full wetsuits, sweats any time now. The highs here barely get squeak to 71-73 briefly,
then it drops back in to the 60's, and then low 50's at night- and this, a few notches North of the Tropic of Cancer in July.
At least the rootbeer color redtide has been replaced with florescent pea green color and the daily nuclear winds have subsided for a few days. I
haven't found any explanation for this weather and thought maybe it was a local phenomenon or I've just missed this transition season in the past .
Sounds like it's atypical in other parts too.
Soon when it's too hot to do any projects i'll wonder what I was whining about.

The water here is still very cool. With the wind from a southerly direction, it keeps us cool. I think it is wonderful.

It's just plain dreary up here. Can't even do outside painting till around 10 AM due to moisture.
We may be in for a season of extremes which means, when the weather turns, it'll probably be a scorcher........Pacifico for breakfast weather.

Agree! With the Ocean Water cool, the storms are also staying away so no rain.

We just went past Global Warming, into the predicted Ice Age... things move fast in the 21st Century.. cuz of things like the new iPhone 4??
And Jesse, I remember the last time you asked a simple question about the "climate"..
Think the thread was "KILLED" .... boy, does stuff follow you or what..
Must be pi**ed off cuz your cooking of great meals, artistic too .. miss some of your pictures of your presentations .. will never get down there I
don't think.. so I do appreciate your pictures.. and glad you got one of your cats back..

Its great weather, lower electricity bills (very good under this nasty recession), but i have never seen such cool weather here this time of year, and
apparently the locals say they never seen this as well.

It has been cooler here and I love it! Still need a warm quilt at night and the mornings are overcast and beautiful! Warms up during the day, but
not hot.
OK, does anyone else prefer the cool overcast mornings and cold nights over the summer heat?

There is a quite a bit of scientific research that discusses solar flares and sunspots as a driver for cyclical changes in climate.

No complaints... I like it just the way it is.. a little sun breaking out around 10-11, with low temps in the 70's... and the clouds coming back in to
keep it really very nice at night... comfortable for this old guy...
When you guys start coming in with that 108º stuff.. on the east coast .... that is just plain miserable.. can't think of better place to get that
kind of weather..
