ROSARITO ROUNDERS....LEND A HELPING HAND, PLEASE

Could some of you Nomads with knowledge of the bar scene in Rosarito contribute to a list of establishments that might be of interest to Cynthia's dad, Peter?
He likes to drink beer and would probably frequent places that other more mature expats would like.
If Rene's is still open, that's the type of place I'm looking for.
Papas 'n Beer probably wouldn't make the list.

We need to get some flyers out, so if anyone up there would like to join this quest, it would be great.

Thanks.

From north to south

Baja Malibu
Plan B
Footprinters
Rene's
Ricky's
Cantiles
Raul's
Palm Grill
Splash
Halfway House

One more north downtown, upstairs but can't remember the name.

Also, can't help with phone #'s. Who calls these places?

A Few More

Las Cubetas in Rosarito on on Benito Juarez on the west side, between Carnitas Michoacan and the intersection with the McDonalds.

El Texano on a east-heading side street near the main Don Pisto liquor store (and the Don Pisto stores might be a good place to ask/show a picture).

And El Pescador near Puerto Nuevo.

You could pick any one of these places and spend an afternoon or evening. Most every gringo who goes to one, goes to them all...eventually.

If I had to narrow it down I'd choose No Bad Days, Cantiles and Splash.

Denny: this is a hellofanidea. Bar scenes are dicey in your own home town if you don't know the locals and in a different town or country can get you in trouble quick. Someone needs to do this from Chula Vista to Los Cabos.

Thanks, Jim.....I'll be working in broad daylight. If Lizard Lips was around, I'd take him with me to beat to death anybody who got in my way.
We'll see what turns up in Rosarito. I don't think this search will need to be expanded too much and I won't be sticking my nose where it doesn't belong. I'm only the messenger.

Right-on. After a visit to the police and the Baja Del Sol Hotel, I'll try these places.

Gringo bars are filled with broke-down old white guys drinking beer and telling lies.

The danger is in getting run over by a drunk in the parking lot.

Castillos del Mar has a great little bar with a spectacular ocean view and the best part is that if he mentions this post, the first cerveza is on the house
