Thoughts about BAJA NOMADS response to the 2 "missing persons" topics ......
*NOTE* If you have any info please post to the 2 open threads and not here.
Like many, I have been following the two threads on "missing persons" since they started. As details have started to fill in (photos, descriptions,
vehicles, ect.) it really caught my interest.
Next, many NOMADS started to get personally involved (flyers, suggestions, phone calls, ect) . Even the "I'm looking in the bars" , while sounding
funny , may if fact be the best places to look (who knows?)
I now find myself looking for current posts several times a day. Heck....I even look at traffic in Orange County to see the vehicles.
I'm impressed with what has happend here....what about you?

I agree too and have been following closely. Wanted to post compliments to those who have been so contructive in their ideas and help; didn't want to
clutter the threads.
We're keeping an eye out too should they have come down this far.

Great team effort
I am sure that both of these families trying to find their loved one's feel blessed that they found Baja Nomads and all the wonderful people involved
here.
It is really great to see how people come forward to help someone they don't even know. That's what keeps me going in life...seeing the wonderful
things people do!!!

Long shot, but??
Most ATM machines have cameras that operate when the withdrawls are being made. Maybe it's a real long shot but wondering if someone can get any of
the banks that he made withdrawls from to cooperate?? If it is determined that it is actually him that made the withdrawls it would sure help.

I am sure this has been mentioned ... but there a many military check-points along the Baja highway and wouldn't those guys have noticed this car and
couple? Sorry, if this has been discussed.

Thanks, FA........... After a moment of review, I see you're right.
Sorry, Jim. I'm a little jumpy before a mission. Always was.
The offer to join me is still open. I'll buy the beer.

Dennis,
I think you are being too harsh with Woody and Surfer Jim. Woody raised a possibility that maybe they don't want to be found. I asked the same thing
of Cynthia's dad. It is not a judgment. It is merely a question. If it pops into ones mind, why not ask it here? We don't know any of these missing
people. While it may be hurtful to the anguishing relatives, it is actually a more optimistic possibility than a bad ending or never turning up.
With me, I tend to not believe that possibility. But what do I know?
Regarding Surfer Jim: Searching in bars seems less likely to encounter Cynthia's father than spotting a vehicle. That is only his opinion. He says
that seems "funny" to him, but at the same time he was actually validating it as a good idea. I think it is a great idea since Cynthia says he likes
beer. You could likely find me in one, on occasion, if I visited or settled there.
Bottom line: These people are missing. We have to consider all possibilities that our imaginations can muster. Sometimes the family is too close to
the person and filled with grief and anxiety to be objective. I am NOT saying that is the case here. That is just one remote possibility.
The BajaNomads have certainly rallied to help and are taking this very seriously. You too, Dennis! Good for you.
We all live or travel in Baja. We all think, "There, but for the Grace of God, go I. Too many are going missing recently for me to feel comfortable.
Some of them had better start reappearing!
This is tugging at my heart even more so than the missing dog thread, and that one really disturbed me. My heart goes out to the relatives and I
sincerely hope their loved ones turn up soon.

Me too, Tony. This is painful for a lot of people for a lot of reasons.

My "bars" comment wasn't about anybody ....in fact it was the opposite...."may be the best places to look". Maybe my writing skills are lacking.
Too bad law enforcement is of little (or no) help.....I thought they would have put in "some" effort.
We can't know if people want to be found or not......but the effort of those "looking" , after being asked for help, has been first class.

Dear All you Wonderful Nomads,
I am personally moved by the outpouring of people who don't know me, my daughter, Mat, or his family (and Cynthia too) and I cannot express in enough
words how thankful I am you are all where you are.
This has been the most difficult week or so of my life and I want to remain as hopeful as one can, but I want you all to know I have also considered
the terrible which is not pleasant. I am no longer concerned with the "why" they have disappeared but rather now the "where" have they disappeared
to.
Maybe they don't want to be found, maybe they are just having the times of their lives, I was 30 once, but the not knowing if they are safe, or hurt
somewhere is at times untolerable. I worry all night long if Missy is cold, hungry, thirsty, hurt and wondering if Dad is going to ever find her.
It's the worst way to wake in the middle of the night.
I am forever in your debt because of the kindness, compassion, and gentleness you have all afforded us in a time we need it the most. My faith in
humanity was always there, but everyone of you has reinforced that to me and my family and I am sure Mat's and Cynthia's.
God bless each and everyone of you,
Tim Dixon

Tears in my eyes as I read this tonight. I see someone at the matandmelissa website suggested you all post here, and I am glad you did. Also glad that
I joined here too, I think this is going to be a great place.

We are keeping an eye out in San Felipe. Much smaller town. Car easy to spot. Nothing so far.

I to am impressed with how Nomads have come together in helping. There is genuine concern here and it shows. I would be along side Dennis in a
heartbeat if I could.

Nomads are wild and woolly and full of fleas - with hearts as big as the sky.
When the way comes to an end, then change. Having changed, you pass through.

Gawwwdamighty...Rosarito is a zoo. I lost count of stop signs at two million and there must be twice as many cabs.
Got into a few Don Pistos and not one of them was very nice. They took flyers, but didn't want them in their window. I know the flyers were in the
round file before I had my keys in the ignition.
I was a bit early to hit too many bars although I got a few, mostly out of Centro toward the south to La Salina, Bernie's old haunt. Man...what a gin
mill. I hadn't been in there in years. It was barely open at the legal time and the bar was full. It brought back a bunch of memories....all good.
I'll wait till Tuesday for the next trip which is 150 miles up and back from my place.
Halfway House couldn't have been nicer.
Anyway, this is going to take a few days, but it's all good.
Traffic was heavy going south. Mostly weekenders from the states. That's a good sign.
