A thought. There is a large grocery store in CCD. It's Call Le Ley. It's on the main drag towards the south end of the business district. It is on
the West side of Hwy 1 Many gringos from Loreto drive down to shop there. Perhaps they could walk down to the parking lot, and watch for gringo's and
then approach and ask for a ride to Loreto. Call Ed & Barb Vandenberg in Loreto/Nopolo. You have their phone number. I can vouch for them as
being great people, and would take very good care of them until plans could be arranged to get them north. And the plus to this is Barb can cook
along with the best chefs in Europe!!!!!! So they won't starve while waiting. that was great of you Ed to make the offer.

Thanks Flip, however dinners were not included. Maybe a Taco or two and sharing a split of Pacifico.
Wouldn't want to turn them into lushes.
Glad to see them turned up safe though, all kidding aside.

Good Morning Everyone,
Sorry for not writing earlier but i had developed some kind of a problem with my right eye and had to have an emergency eye doctor visit yesterday and
have something called Uveitis which is basically inflammation of the outer eye, extremely painful and I was really unable to see, let alone sit in
front of a computer, even now I am wearing very dark glasses while I type this. Enough on that.
I knwo everyone wants to know the story and to honest we don't know the story yet and have not pushed because our one focus is on getting them home.
We are putting them on a bus and hope to see them soon. As soon as they get here we will get the real story and we will share it with all of you, but
for now we don't want to push too hard and want to keep them focused on getting home.
I trust you can all understand our situation but you do deserve and explanation after all you have done to assist us and/or were willing to do for
complete strangers. A finer group of people would be hard to find and I hope someday I can pay your good deeds forward to some other person in need.

Thank you, Tim. We will find it easier to wait patiently for their story, knowing they are on their way home. Good luck with your eye problem.

thanks for that Tim...it's really nice to get some follow up on cases like this and makes our nomad group more effective when we have to meet the next
challenge with things we can learn from each crisis and how people pitch in.

Jst knowing they are found alive and connected with those looking out for them is good enough for me.

Thanks Tim, yes, I for one (and I'm sure everyone else) totally understand.
The important thing is they are well. Give them both big hugs from all of us Nomads.

Thank You
I also want to thank you all for everything you have done. For complete strangers to come together and help our family in search for my brother Mat
and his friend Melissa is amazing. You nomads are the best! I can't THANK YOU enough! Like Tim said, we are just waiting for them to get back to get
all our questions answered, and as soon as we do we will let you all know. Thank you everyone for your patience, and all your effort you put into
this! Thank you L.L. for taking the time to talk to us on the phone and offer your tips and suggestions. Thank you to everyone who were our eyes and
ears over there.
Thank You,
JoAnna(mat's sister) & The Vasquez Family

Great community of Nomads. A wonderful resource. Assuming all is well, and the prodigal children are headed safely home, I still have to wonder how,
if each of them had time to talk on the phone, seemingly zero detail about what happened was shared???!

It is indeed quite amazing to see how so many people pulled together so fast and made the whole search viable. Truth be told, I bet we do not have
such a big support group NOB .... I am thankful that, in the end, all were well.
Whatever happened to the couple with 2 kids from north county in San Diego ? I missed the outcome of that one, somehow, unless they are still
missing. And there was the abandoned car in Asuncion as well ?????

Dear Nomads,
We just wanted to take a brief moment to let all of you know that Mat & Melissa are safely across the Mexican border and are at home with us now.
Thank you for your prayers, concerns, cards, e-mails, etc., we would not have been able to endure the past 3 weeks without the support of all of you.
We will give a better report soon but for now we just want to spend some time together but knew all of you were waiting to hear they are safely home.
