Most of the people I talk to in their late 20s/and 30s all talk about Costa Rica, but I have heard both good and bad. Beaches overrun by Americans, Hawaii in Central America, etc. Kind of like San Felipe's image in the 90s. Panama gets lots of American tourists, too. I always talk to lots of Americans on my way back from Colombia since Panama City is the hub for COPA Airlines. One of these days, I would like to see Panama, but for now I'm more interested in the liveliness/music/culture of Colombia and the 4x4 fun found in Baja.
