Check Your Drugs

Check to see if any of your Rx or OTC meds have any interactions with each other.

Not sure how this relates to BAJA:rolleyes:. However, many times, posters here tell others to "go take your meds" . Maybe that's it!:O

Ouch...sorry if I offended you Sufer Jim.

My reason for posting this information...lots of people that "LIVE IN THE BAJA" buy meds at the pharmacy. Maybe some of them would find it interesting if "BY CHANCE" some of their meds didn't work well together.

When I first discovered "The Baja Nomads" I thought it was a fun, interesting and friendly website. It seems that if you are not in the "click" then you get slamed for your posts. Not to worry I will not offend you or your opinion again.

Sad Day on The Baja Nomad Website...Ciao(as in Italian)

You were not slammed... I should know (lol)! Jim is a good guy here.

Your post was 'out of the blue' with no lead in story as to why you posted it, that's all...

Thank you for your information!

Thanks for the link, Karen. Very informative. Don't take offense to other peoples responses I've been thrown around like an old $2.00 bill at times. Just consider the source.

Karen ,it's a good thing for us in Baja to have as the pharmacies here don't have the fancy computers they have in the states so we have to keep a watch out for ourselves. Thanks for posting. Don't run, stay and play with us, someones always throwing sand around the sand box. it settles down;) and everyone plays nice,k

Don't think you did, Karen. I've seen Jim deal with some real heat here and he's not easily offended. In fact, he's particularly gracious under fire.....just like me.

I believe ol' Skeet has just invented a new word, "dispots". I like it! I think I will apply it, as did he, from now on in regards to Nomads who are sh*t disturbers. (I don't think that applies to Surfer Jim, but his post has evoked the invention of this new word).

To legitimize this post, I should say that many dispots live in or travel to Baja.

In my etymological research, I have indeed found justification for Skeet's contribution in the evolution of the English Language:

dis- a prefix used with words, many of which could apply to Skeet's intended usage.
i.e.:
display
discharge
discord
discard
discount
discourage
discredit
discreet
discuss
distaste
disembody
distrust
disable
distort
disappear
disarray
disable
disassemble
disbelief
discover
disdain
dissuade
disallow
disease
dissect
dissection
disfigure
disengage
disparage
dismiss
dispassionate
dissipate
dispute
dissertation
disestablish
dissevered
disturbance
disavow
disarm
disarmament
disuse
disburse
distal
dismal
dismissal
disorder
disorderly
dissuasion
distract
distraction
discard
discord
disgorge
disjointed
distorts
distortion
district
disfavor
dissolve

Dis- is also a Disney reference...possible, as in cartoon character or as entertainment. Sh*t Disturbers are seen by many here as entertainment.

Dis- is also a religious term meaning Satan. Knowing Skeet as we do, this is also a possibility.

Pot- Well, we won't go there, will we? Although this is a common obsession of Skeets, I don't think he is applying Marijuana in his newly invented word. So, NO! This does not apply.

Pot- as in "fusspot"; another word for fussbudget. Ah Ha! Now we are getting somewhere. Let's put the two syllables together:

dis-pot...dispot. And there you have it folks.

Like Skeet, I don't much care for dispots either.

Nomad Cyberdispots...we're onto you! :smug::biggrin::fire:

Come back, Karenintx. We can be vigilant together!

Your Kind Words...

are accepted and greatly appreciated. My reaction was not only from the remark made toward my post but to the many times I read similar remarks made toward others. For the life of me I can not understand nor want to understand why there is a need to say something ugly. Just because you put a cute little smiley face behind your words doesn't make it funny. Don't say anything...or is that by signing-on and saying something you get one more post that eventually earns you that all important "gold star".

I agree there is great information and good people on the Baja Nomad website. I actually enjoy reading the sparring matches between certain nomads...Dennis, Toneart just to name a few! David K is right, I did not "have a lead-in story"...which should not be required. Take a post for what it is...if you don't like it, move on. Big deal if the post is put under the wrong subject it is not the end of the world. Don't sweat the small things in life.

I will now go put my soap box back in the closest!

Exactly what I first thought...
One time I came down with a case of giant Skippy Extra Crunchy I got at Sam's CLub as a joke/gift for a worker who had a major jones for the stuff. We never hooked up that trip and crossing the border going north I was reamed at secondary. Apparently they're training the dogs to sniff out p-nut butter. They unscrewed the tops but if the seal was in place (they were) they didn't go any farther. Good to know our borders are safe from p-nut butter smugglers.

And now a word from that Viking guy

Look at me....I am just a perfect sort of guy here at the forums...everyone loves me!

I think if one gets get slammed in here ...that person knows clearly! You were not slammed ......in my opinion.

There are lots of debate, disagreements, insults, and other negative situations here at the Baja Forums. One has the choice, as you said, to read or skip (......"you don't like it, move on"). On the "this" hand...one can stand up inject his/hers insights. It's just like "real life" in here.

Now there IS.... far more number of praises, "pat on the backs", friendly responses, and other positive human kindness here at the Baja Forums. On the "this" hand...one can stand up inject his/hers insights. It's just like "real life"..... in here.

I couldn't care less about the gold stars. Whoppy Do Da! I used to have far more!

That's not why I post here (stars). I post because I need information about Baja...but when I see something that is outrageously "spoken” here...I will speak my part....bluntly and to the point. I come on strong...in certain cases...because the subject is primate thinking.

Every Nomad here has her/his way to respond, it’s just like "real life" in here. Better to read the forum than to be sitting back in your Lazy Boy Recliner watching the violence and insults on T.V.!

Hang in there…..we all respect you.

And I hate that cute little smiley face behind the words too

;D :fire: :?: :?: :wow: :barf: ;D :O

No slam here. I might have thick skin, though.

Hey Karen? Thanks for the post. Really, it's OK. No slam.
