I need someone's help!

OK, here is my story. It is now Saturday night, October 9, 2010 and I am now in Bahia Ascension until around Wednesday, October 13th and then leave for Loreto and fly home from Loreto on Thursday, 10/21.

Here is my dilemma. I thought I lost my cell phone yesterday. After retracing my steps, I called Malarrimo in Guerrero Negro to see if I left it there when we had dinner last night. They were kind enough to say that they found my cell phone, as I must of dropped it in the parking lot and it looked like it had been run over. The phone is old and not worth much but I have all my #s in the Sim card and that is what I will miss the most.

By any chance, is anyone within the next day or two, going to be at Malarrimo’s and then going to either Bahia Acension or Loreto?

If so and you can bring me my cell phone there is a very cold beer waiting for you! How many beers can you drink? How about some good California red wine? How about???

I really appreciate someone’s help if his or her timing is right.

Do you mean Asuncion Bay?? We leave San Diego Oct 19, stay at Catavina then on to Asuncion Oct 20. We'll be traveling through Guerrero Negro that day. We return about a week later. If you don't have a solution by then let me know. I'd be happy to pick up your SIM card and return it to you.

lets see howard...

2 hour drive to guerrero negro from asuncion
that's 4 hours round trip
can't do that?

do you realize the numbers you call are on your phone bill
just no names

sim card would be better but we've had then damaged when "crushed"
risky

Wow, too bad.. had not thought about those that use them all the time... a lost of your "phone" today, would be about the same as losing a computer 10-15 years ago...

Hard cheese... hope it works out ok....

I'll know more tomorrow by 2pm PDT. Hope to leave Tue. AM crossing the boarder around 4am PDT so Viscaino at 1 or 2pm MDT +/- with a stop at Malarrimo maybe a 1/2 hour more. Is there a place in Viscaino I could meet you or drop it off? I need to Make it to Punta Chivato before dark.

Still hoping

Nappo: Thank you very much for your offer, but I have friends going Northbound before then that could pick it up.

Russ: I also really appreciate your offer and will communicate with you later today.

My problem is that I am in a 30 foot RV. It is 75 miles from Asuncion to Viscaino, which would make it a long round trip trek.

Bob and Susan: "2 hour drive to Guerrero Negro from Asuncion?" It is approximately 140 miles round trip from Asuncion to Guerrero Negro and in a 30 foot RV it would be over 3 hours EACH WAY!

Anyway, I am still holding out that Shari knows someone going in to G.N. in the next day or so.

Please keep the offers coming.

Thanks Nomads for you help!
