Cold around here in Bahia Asuncion---not the typical October weather. Quilt had to go back on the bed! Foggy, gloomy and cold today. More like Guerrero Negro weather. But we love this weather! Good for walking, and good for a good book.

The National Weather Service and NOAA have announced that -the most intense- La Niña since 1955 is developing off the coast of Peru. I am taking this seriously meaning I am going into the fall and winter season suspicious that it could be one wild ride.

You want fog? We got fog! The foggiest summer I can remember in San Francisco. (that's California) And it lasts all day long. On the other hand; it was 105º when I was in Mulege a few weeks ago. What I really like is Maui. Every day,,,82º with a cooling trade wind.

Overnight and early morning low today was fiffffftyttttttwo . It's almost 9am now and up to 56°- ayyayay. I took the ocean's temperature yesterday and it's 69° here on the central Pacific coast of BCS.

Time to accept that's all we're going to get for a summer- not much chance of turning around at this point. Only 2 days this year where the water temp was over 80° and hardly any waves worth surfing this summer.

BigWooo just read me the dismal prediction for storms producing waves this winter too- I don't think I needed to know that, thank you very much! What a silly sport we chose which governs our lives.

But.... we are retired, it's not foggy today, I'm watching pangas check their lobster traps out front, and life is pretty dang good.

Ah, even if there are the big waves and storms and problems with La Niña, you will still be in Baja and I bet you will still be having a great time.

Started to try and clear this morning, and dew point hit again----but El Sol is trying.
