Governor Ventura on Baja

I was listening to the Bob & Tom show on the radio friday and they were interviewing Governor Ventura about many things including the 6 months a year he spends in Baja, apparently he is a surfer.
The best part of the interview was when he summarized his time in Baja- "When I get up in the morning I have nothing to do, at the end of the day I'm only half finished".
Perfect:yes:

Missed the Baja reference, but he has
credibility in my eyes, as a couple days
ago referred to Bill O Reilly as a
spineless puke.
Barry, throttle back a bit,
both these guys are for entertainment
value only, not to be takes seriously.
Have a couple Pacificos on me

He is a media personality, nothing more, and we already have way too many of those. Lately his glibly stated ideas have been off-the-wall, for sure.

I think someone was grasping for "credible" Don't think Jesse needs to borrow money.

That said, although he seemingly has gone a little bit around the bend as he ages, he was always a tad off the wall. Seems to me that fame and notoriety go a long way in getting people with little or no background in government or political science elected. That and the general discontent voters have with so-called career politicians.

Anyone think Arnie has been a success in CA?

Maybe he was referring to chickenhawk O'Reilly's military service.

After he spoke HIS truth on the VIEW, my first thought was that following that logic there should be no Christian temples in the United States, since Christians killed nine out of ten Native Americans in the great Manifest Destiny genocide.
(source: The National Museum of the American Indian)

Unfortunately they didn't leave enough innocent Indians alive to prevent their raising their "houses of God" all over the Indian's neighborhoods.

I got to thinking, my post doesn't relate to Baja, on second thought it relates to ALL of Mexico.

Too bad hypocracy isn't a fatal disease.

I believe you are forgetting context again, Vag. The American Indian got a really tragic deal back then--------few would deny that-------but this is now and that was then. O'Rielly simply said (over and over again) that of course it was legal, but insensitive, to build the Mosque near ground zero----period. Many, including me, agree.

I, and my family, support most Am. Indian initiatives partially because of the injustice to them by our ancestors-----our personal choice----and my son has long worked as an attorney and contract administrator for many tribes. He now works for the Paiutes in Bishop, CA. (6 yrs)

I can't stand O Reilly's confrontational tone, nor his Fox channel.

I'll take the baja surfer guy who served his county and at least tried to do the right thing by serving in public office making a hell of a lot less than he could have on the "outside" over another chicken hawk shill for Murdoch who sends other people off to die as he sleeps in his 10 million dollar NYC penthouse.

O'Reilly is the patriot? That is who you want on your side when the going gets tough? Oooooooooooooooooooooooookay...good luck to ya.

Ken, you support Jesse-----ok------but Jesse is not "confrontational"????????? Seems like a double-standard to me that frankly does not track. Explain------

Personally I like Jesse as he makes you think, but I don't often agree with him, especially in the last few years.

Jesse is a wack job. I heard him on the radio say that it wasn't an airplane that hit the pentagon. He's a actor and it's all about making a buck.

"Fair and Balanced" as it is by using manufactured footage, refusing to let a dissident speak (O"Really: Cut off his mike), and hypocrisy (Loofah Sponge Bill).
