Anthony Bourdain is back! 3 Questions

First Question: Where did he go?

Second Question: When will he go to Baja?

Third Question: If he ever goes to Baja, where will he be inclined to "discover"?

Saw AB...

...a few weeks ago in Sacramento 'performing' one of his 'stage talks'...He talked about his earlier years, some of his contemporary TV Chef's, antidotes of some TV show adventures, etc, etc...followed by lots of Q & A from the crowd...

It was pretty much AB as shown on his TV series, without any 'beeps'...!

We enjoyed it for the most part, but it's clear AB is an EAST COAST kind of guy, without it seems, much WEST COAST experience, not that there's anything wrong with the EAST COAST...but, he seemed a bit like the old fish out of water here in Nor-Cal!

Some parts were better than others, where it seemed we were being talked 'down' to a bit, IMHO...

He was asked if he had sampled any of our local eateries, or planned to, and he admitted he flew in just for the 'show' and was leaving right afterward - he got a 'rumble' from the crowd with that comment...

Overall, I'm glad we went, but I'm glad we didn't 'pop' for the high priced 'meet & greet' tickets...:)

Mexray- glad you went and had a great time.

I look at TV show with a jaded attitude, be it cooking, travel or other.

Just like was said, ":I'm in town for the talk haven't tried THAT place, but I heard it was good".....

I gotta say, after a couple years on this forum, I could do a better job of covering Baja than Anthony Bourdain, with one camera, internet and a van. The folks who know what's going on are not linked up with the networks, they're linked up with the ethernet.

BRING IT ON, AB!

PS gonna email to the AB website right now for this challenge.
