Off to the race

We are headed to Ensenada to take in contingency and the race start. We will stay with friends at Punta Banda. After the start, we will return to near the sulfer mine to watch. Who else is coming down?

Is there a schedule of events for Wednesday in Ensenada? I'm going to drive town in the early afternoon to check it out.

Yeah...they're open, from around 1 PM.
Something else...one of the teams is displaying their truck out at the Old Mission Brewery, the new place out on the spit. Normaly closed on Tuesday but open tomorrow. Normal start time there is around noon.
Try the place. It's a great venue on a sunny day.

Probably 18-20 hours from their statrting time, for the fastest racers (open bikes and Trophy Trucks and Class 1.

Pacific Time the first bike starts at 6:30 am... so 12:30-2:30 am Friday Pacific/ 1:30 am to 3:30 am Mountain Time...

Maybe starting 4 hours later for the first four wheeled V-8 racers (5:30-7:30 am Friday morning Mountain Time)... This is a complete educated guess, as conditions will determine if they fastest racers can maintain a 55-60 mph average.

All racers have 45 hours (from their start) to complete the race to be considered a finisher.

If the last racer to start begins at 1:30 pm Thursday... then the La Paz finish line will be open until 10:30 am Pacific Time (11:30 am Mountain) Saturday morning... provided there is still someone in the race, as reported by previous check points.

Hey Chuck

We did the obligitory Hussongs stop yesterday, (2 for 1 ) and Monster had the street in front closed with 2 wheelers doing jumps. We are going to Contingency this morning and then back to the beach. We are going to watch at the chili dipper at KM31. CU soon.
