South Gate, California. Don't know why since we never lived there. They say that today I'd need a passport to enter the city limits.

East Los Angeles, Ca.
Had great parents who were always involved in our lives and kept us out of trouble. The old cliche' "alot of my friends are dead or in prison" is a good description of my youth.

Minnesota, "Up North" as the locals refer to it. If you remember Frostbite Falls from Rocky and Bullwinkle that is the exact spot on the map. Just a little north of Lake Woebegon.

Coronado, CA 2nd generation Californio, and a Navy brat., tho my Dad, a Navy pilot, died in an airplane accident in Hawaii in late 1938 as pilot in Command. My Mom never remarried, but remained in Coronado until her recent death.

My kids are 3rd generation Californios, and proud of it.

At least you got the hell out of Texas without a moment to spare. ;):smug:

Me? Born in Los Angeles at the Good Sam Hospital. Got the hell out of there after high school and became a citizen of the world.
Still exploring my options...above ground. :O:bounce::smug:

Santa Monica, third generation. My sons are the fourth. The last remaining earthquake-damaged wing of the old St. John's Hospital, where both of the boys and I were born, was just torn down.

Sniff.

My wife, for some reason, doesn't feel quite as nostalgic about it.
