Motorcycle Trip
Just back from two weeks motorcycling the length of Baja with my friend Clement Salvadori doing an update for his Baja motorcycle guidebook
(Whitehorse Press.) Highlights were the lush green of the Sierra Giganta as pointed out by jide in his post, the ride into San Javier was lovlier
than I have ever seen it. the new Malecon in La Paz which is beautifully done and especially the lush vegetation south of La Paz and around East Cape.
Again, I have never seen it so green down there. Water temp in both Bahia Concepcion and at Buena Vista was in the 80's, just perfect. Mulege was
great since the beaches were mostly empty and the town very quiet at this time of year. We stopped to check out Antonio's new rooms in El Rosario and
they are very nice and the prices are excellent. A good trip, I didn't want to come home. Perhaps the best part was being away from the nasty
political crap!

Yes, that was me who visited you at the Serenidad. I'll be down that way on the old Kawasaki knobby tire bike at Thanksgiving and again over
Christmas and New Years so we'll likely cross paths again.

In my quest to learn as much as possible about riding in Baja, I bought Clement's book.
Not a bad read, but too much space devoted to dirt riding for this road biker (BMW R1150RT).
Speaking of guide books, I'm finding the latest edition of Joe Cumming's guide to Baja (Moon Publications), the best so far.
