Coco
I stopped by Cocos today but only his uncle was there. Coco is in Guerro Negro which I tried to find him this afternoon with no luck. I did just talk
to him on the phone and will see him on Wednesday for lunch in Guerro, he is there for surgery on his leg. Will post more after I see him.

Should I have also mis-spelled the town to please you? Come on amigo, we all know what is meant by New Yorc or Koko, too? Maybe Steve would like to
spell the town in the place he loves correctly and was using short hand or has seen so many gringo guidebooks and posters here spell it 'Guerro', he
thought that was correct... hmmmmm?

mis-spelling.

Of course it was... so it wasn't overlooked.
The town name is the Spanish translation for a whaling ship called the 'Black Warrior'.... Guerrero Negro. Guerrero means Warrior.

My best to Coco.
And a bit of an intro for me. I was a chaser for a motorcycle team for the Baja 1000 and pre-ran the section from Gonzaga bay through the wash below
Coco's Corner. I really enjoyed the Baja experience and I'm looking to return for an extended stay. 2 weeks just isn't enough, especially when the
agenda is the race. I still work 4 days a month but have taken the 30 yr pension and I'm looking for new sites and adventures.

I am going to Baha this Febrewary and hope to go thru Sandy Eggo after a kupple of daze in Laws Anjelees. Furst, i have to dryv threw washingtun and
oregano from beecee....butt it's a nyce dryv.
Is it trew that I need Mecksikan muny in Baha? Sum 1 sed they don't always tayk amerikun muny down there.

While I acknowledge my retentive traits, I believe proper spelling and grammar are important....unless you want to promote the dummying-down of our
species...
Sure, we can often get the gist of it as my previous post indicates, but there is risk involved with the "fuzzy picture", as opposed to the one in
focus.
An example of misinformation and bad spelling combined could lead someone astray if they were "new" to the topic:
(an excerpt from an off-road motorcycle forum [Thumpertalk] regarding Baja 1000 course):
"...The basic course Leaves Loreto and goes up over the Mountains to the San Gertrudes Misson on top, and down thru about a 100 Stream crossings to
the highway to Insurgentes. Then out toward the cost and South. You can go out to Insurgentes, Or Ciudad Constatucion for gas or any of the smaller
town South of there. You go South to Tomatate, which is about even with La Paz and then turn East over the mini Summit into La Paz...."
Yep, we get the picture if we know the area, but Santa Gertrudis Mission is a whole different trip out of Loreto....and San Javier is a long way from
Santa Gertrudis....if the "San Gertrudis" name was the destination to a newbie, the info would be no p-nche good, would it?
