I put a Christmas Box at Splash Restaurant K52 and their patrons are helping quite a bit. Some put tooth brushes for the kids, some put gifts and many bought special items for the Christmas Bags! Thank you Splash Patrons!!!!!

Tracee L. Sporer, Pat Greenlee, and Dennis, THANK YOU!!! I received your kind donation for the kids today! Also, I spent time with Miss Greenlee's class today, from Hidden Valley School in Escondido. The kids were making the Christmas bags and oh my gosh, they are so cute and festive! The kids are really getting into this. The bags will be finished next week so back to Escondido to get them. I told the kids we would have a donut party for all their help. The pictures of the kids from the orphanage, were a huge hit.
Esteban, Thank You for the marble sets for "all" the boys!! They will love them!!
Splash Patrons filled bags today:spingrin::spingrin::spingrin: This is all coming together, thank you all!!

Thanks for all you're doing, Carla......Merry Christmas to you and the kids.

Oh, believe me, I was worried. I put all the socks and underwear in the bottom of two duffle bags with my clothes on top. Some little toy trucks were pushed under my seats with the wiffle balls and bats. I still have to bring down the 20 barbie dolls I found at the dollar store for $1.00 I've been getting great prices. The hardest ones to buy for are the 16-19 yr olds. Next trip I'll get more. It's funny because I am not a shopper and I usually get a bit stressed out when the stores are busy. So far so good. I haven't rammed my cart into any little old ladies yet, lol

Please help us fill this box so every child has a home made Christmas Bag. The bags are being made by Mrs. Greenlee's 8th grade class in Escondido, CA.

This is the first time we have done this and the help is greatly appreciated. If you would like to get involved please contact me by U2U

Carla - check your U2U for the cell phone number to call to see when the bags were or will be delivered.

I think next year will be easier since we can plan earlier. What you are doing is really special and one day I hope to visit the orphanage in person.

There is another Orphanage further out into the Guadalupe Valley that I want to go visit. This orphanage, I am told, needs much help. I plan on going there to see for myself, if I can find it.

I definitely will start earlier next year!!

check your u2u..;D

I am driving down from Calgary, Alberta to the Casa de Paz orphanage with stockings for the kids. It is not too far from the Door of Faith and I was wondering if this is the one you are speaking of. It is in the town/village of porvenir. My daughter did a trip with her pysch proff and 24 others in summer and is going back in summer of 2011.

It may be, the one I was told about is around 40 mile from La Mision, down in the valley. I have no other details as of yet. Great thing you are doing! The kids are always such good kids and happy! Very well rounded.

Happy Holidays!
