ALACRANES? BASTA YA!

Ultraviolet Light makes alacranes glow like a neon tube in drim light or darkness. For several years I used a powerful and expensive UV fluorescent lamp to take a walk around camp and "escort" the unwanted arachnids way the heck and gone away from me. Well the lamp finally died probably of old age and I just couldn't cough up a couple hundred dollars for a new one.

So I found a battery powered LED hand lamp at:

http://www.ledwholesalers.com

For seventeen dollars and change.

On the surface this subject sounds kind of petty. But after getting nailed a few times by those smaller pale yellow-green scorpions I felt less inclined to balk at spending the money for an UV lamp.

It doesn't take a trained eye to spot a scorpion using an UV lamp in dim light, they fluoresce like crazy. Good for looking at minerals, spotting counterfeit banknotes, etc.

I had a lot of fun with my kids walking around with one of those UV LED flashlights at night around our camp in Agua Verde two weeks ago. We found lots of scorpions that way. They really do stick out big time. It also helped big time to make the little rugrats a bit more wary of their surroundings. ;D

You can get a UV cap light at Wal Mart for 9.98. Or you could a couple months ago.

These lights will show allot more then just bed bugs...look, if you dare, at the ceiling, walls, headboard, carpet etc. DNA from the many who preceded you. Now go sleep in the car.
