Mercado Pinguine today. Proof that the Holidays are actually here-

And in true Mexican marketing form, it's not in the isle as a feature display and it's not in the beer cooler case either. Of course not- you have to ask the cashier who then calls out to someone who then goes outback and brings it in:tumble:

It hit the stores here 3 or 4 weeks back at 149 Ps per 12. Noticed yesterday the price has fallen to 135. In 2 more weeks, it will probably be down to 100. After the holidays, if they have any left, it could go as low as 75.
There are large displays of it here in all the big stores.

Qué Yummy.

a buddy broke federal law this morning and smuggled me a box thru the border on his way to work. this is the third year in a row. he just calls me out of the blue and says, "i have 12 of your babies. do as i say and they won't get hurt!"

needless to say, i followed orders.......:lol::lol:

It's good as far as I'm concerned. I don't know how it would stand up against other craft brews or under the scope of Peter Rowe, the craft beer authority in San Diego.
It's dark...it's a little heavy, a bit sweet and filling. I can drink a couple on a good day, then I have to fall back on a more watery brew like Tecate Lite or Sol.

Thanks !

Thanks, Dennis.

Growing up with an Irish Grandad, I thought Guiness and Murphy's were basic food groups . . . . . so I like something with a little more heft and pzzzang to it.

Someone in LTO want to pick me up a 6 or 12 and save it for me til March when I'm down ? ? Of course, "I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today!"

P,L, & FT

djh - if you like dark beers (as I do - wish we had Guinness and Murphy's on tap here at the ranch), you will like another special brew - the Negro Modelo 85th anniversary beer. Not as sweet as the Noche Buena.

If you want to try a REAL beer... pour a nice German hefeweizen beer. Here's how to do it.

This is the read deal my friends.
