Angbrown...we did that road with a toyota pick up towing our Boston Whaler...it was OK to San Cosmo...athough not for the faint of heart and make sure
you have good brakes. I dont recommend it towing a boat...you can leave it at the entrance...go do the road and make your decision then.
But we had to stop and "rebuild" some tight corners and put rocks in some arroyos to get through...I didnt think we'd make it and wouldnt do it again
towing a boat that size. It sure is a nice place to explore by boat though...maybe put the boat in at Ligui and drive it and anchor it at your
campsite....a hassle but worth it....have fun!
Also, we always get either a little goat or lamb to BBQ while we are there....ask martin, the cop to get ya one...his wife will even cook it for ya.
Try to bring clothes or stuff to donate there...say hi for juan & shari!

Agua Verde road and trailers
Hola everyone. Been reading these posts for years. Thanx to everyone!
2 years ago a friend of mine hauled a 24' travel trailer all the way to Agua Verde - yup, he had to build a few wider sections on some hairpins, but
he made it!
Makes me feel like a real wussy (or smart!) worrying about hauling in a 6' x 8' single axle cargo trailer behind the chev 4x4.
What would you folks think about that, possible, stupid or just plain crazy??

Been there many times. Never by road however.
Putting your boat in at Escondido and it's a 3/4 hour trip by water. If you want to camp, your boat holds as much as the average pickup. Why chance
it?

Thanx Vandenburg - good idea except my boat is only 18.5' and I don't think I could drag MrT (my 100# Rott.) anywhere close to the water!!!!! Maybe
I'll lose the trailer and just rough it!

I'll try. I don't know a pixel from a pixie. I took your advice and signed up with photobucket and you will notice my avatar!! Huge victory. I am
muddling through and probably adding a few brain cells also. I hope saved the original image.

Thanks for trying... On your Photobucket album, you click the red button at the top 'Upload Now' then in the new window is the upload to Photobucket
box... at the bottom, in tiny blue letters is this:
Customize your upload options
A new box opens with many pixel size options...
100x75
160x120
320x240
640x480
800x600
1024x768
and MORE!
Click the 640x480 size for most photos at large size on Nomad.
When I have maps or satellite images, I do use the 800x600 size, for max. detail... but won't distort the Nomad page sideways.
Then click SAVE at the bottom of that box.
Now, all the photo you upload will be sized correctly for viewing on Nomad. Just re-load the photo you already did earlier that was at the small size.
Try it out! Remember, you have an edit option on Nomads, you can go back and change photos!

OK - so you've talked me out of towing - but there's no problem with chev 4x4, right? Know anyone that might truck/boat in camping stuff from
Escondido to AV and back - then I might persuade MrT to take a short boat ride.....

Image not on the AV road, but it could be.
Just throw your gear in the boat and cruise on down to AV. It's only 18 miles as the pelican flies.
