A Way to Weigh The Day

And the Man.

Disregarding debate over What his true intentions were and assuming that he was honestly working for Racial Harmony, we have to consider WHAT he actually accomplished Long-Term to deserve his Saintly heritage. Other than to get shot by a Bigoted Nutcase (assuming the Conspiracies are wrong) ?

And, Whatever Good resulted from Marty's Marching Band (when he wasn't doing the Bump with one of his Gal Pals) has to be balanced against the fact that his career was the source of the success of Both Jessie Jackson and Al (Tawana) Sharpton. Not to mention some lesser leeches who scored off having been pals.

So, the question has to be: Did he do more harm than good ?

I think I'll spend this Holiday meditating on the greater import of our common humanity and the need for all of us to love and respect each other while embracing harmony.

Or, something sort of like that.

Oh, yeah....don't really expose yourself. That's just a figure of speech.

The GREAT Thing

About that "Meditating" business is that I can do Speed-Meditation and not screw up the whole day.

Having given it a decent shot (pardon the Incendiary word) and meditated for a good 30-seconds, I'm going fishing.

Lights on Popotla are supposed to be fixed toot suite, according to the guys from FRAO-we shall see!
Good meeting at the Rosarito Beach Hotel and great attendance-lists were made on things to do-they know the blvd. down by Las Rocas and Calafia are a mess and are trying to decide whether fed.,state, or local are responsible. Which probably means when they are no longer passable they will be fixed:yes:

Doing MY Part

As it turns out, the Fishing was about as productive as MLK's accomplishments and about as long-lasting.

But, good for the night.

At least I didn't run into Jesse Jackson.

Or Al Sharpton.
