Entire Desert Magazine on Line
John Grasson, who is starting a new on-line Dezert Magazine pattered after the old Desert Magazine, has made the entire 1937 - 1993 issues of Desert
Magazine available (free) at:
http://dezertmagazine.com/old-desert-magazine
There are many Baja articles in the old issues. Thanks John!

These are great. I really like the style of writing they had back in the day. It's like you are right there with the writer on his/her adventure.
It seems different now, but maybe it’s me
The old ads are cool too.
I remember looking through back issues as a kid that my dad had saved. Not sure whatever happened to those…

My dad had a subscription. I was paging through and apprenticing my baja ratness when I was 10 years old. Look forward to checking out the old
issues

Fantastic resource. I just read a 1938 article on finding old fossil agates on ancient seashores. So much more to look through - Thank you John
Grasson, and Neal for letting us know about it.

Desert Magazine was awesome... Lost Mines and missions both!
I hope to keep adding interesting stories to the new online 'Dezert Magazine' that John created... I am the Baja editor for it... so if you have an
interesting story with a Baja desert or historic theme, we may be able to use it!

Thanks, Neal. I had a piece published in Desert and no longer have a copy. Now, if I can only remember what year . . .

Try to remember which war was going on at the time. That will narrow it down.

It works for me, though, I hit the big eight zero last week and remember a lot of wars.

These articles are really well written. The style is more formal than today but that really appeals to me.
