There is a coffee gathering at club cruceros in marina La Paz at about 9:30am and you'll hear local news and info there from 8-9am on vhf22.

You may check http://www.Rozinlapaz.com for event info.

I like this place for dinner http://ilrusticolapazmx.com/us/about.html It is owned by an Italian couple I met when they ran a little store in Punta Chivato. Their names are Franco and Alessandra, very nice people and really good food.

Well, Blanca, you should let us know sooner. Harry and Pam, Doc and Bunny, Lynne and I, as well as a few others were there starting Sunday and we would have loved to have had you and Les join us for dinner. We ate three nights at Il Rustico and it is better than good. Lynne and I consider it to be the best restaurant in La Paz.
It was fun to navigate around town and try not to get tied up by all the political rallys going on.

BAD NEWS IS: WE DIDNT HAVE THE RIGHT PAPERWORK FOR OUR CAR TO TRAVEL TO THE MAINLAND AND I AM WRITING FROM MY OWN COMPUTER AT HOME SINCE WE JUST GOT HOME A WHILE AGO AND I AM WINDING DOWN.

TO SAY I WAS DISAPPOINTED IS THE UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE DAY :(

WE TRY AGAIN TOMORROW.

Blanca,

You say "I am writing from my own computer at home..."

I assume you mean from your hotel in La Paz (?).

Can you tell us what the snag was in not having the right paperwork for your car to go to the mainland? (If you have time. Otherwise, tell us at your leisure.) I thought it entailed a bit of running back and forth between offices, but was pretty straight forward.

I might try it myself but want to know the pitfalls.

Better luck today, and have fun!

Toners
