hot tubs for sale?

We would like to purchase a tub to put on the terrace-anyone have any luck getting one down here? Think it would be prohibitive to buy in the US and bring down-

Be sure your terrace construction is strong enough for the weight of a full hot tub.....dt

Thanks dt bp-we actually took this into consideration 4 years ago when we built this casa. Think it's about time we put it to use. And @bajaguy-skymall, the airplane mags.? Still have to get it here-don't think it will fit in my mailbox in San Ysidro:biggrin::biggrin:

Check with others.......the electricity rates to heat up and/or maintain a hot tub or spa in Mexico can be a killer.

They are available here in La Paz.....in a spa & bathtub store, available through hardware stores here as well. I've seen them occasionally in City Club. Have you checked Costco? Look in the yellow pages for whatever area you're in.

Yes, but where do you want it?

We have a place in San Felipe and I bought a really nice Jacuzzi brand hot tub. I picked it up from a retired guy in AZ that sold it for $1600. New they are almost $10K

We loaded it onto my neighbors dual axle auto hauler and took it across the border. I told the border folks that I brought it down from my house in AZ and I didn't have a receipt. They asked me what I though the value was, I said, I don't know, maybe $600 dollars. They charged me a tax on that amount.

Before coming down I called 2 different guys who had cranes to put it on my upper deck, and yes I built the deck with extra support for this purpose. On the night that we arrived in SF after driving all day we had dinner at a local bar. I asked the waiter if he knew anyone with a crane and he did. He called him and told him to be at my house a 8am.

Saturday morning comes around and at 8am the only guy who showed up was the guy we had contacted 12 hours early. The other two never arrived.

We are south of Rosarito, and yes we will need a crane-it is going on a 3rd floor terrace:wow: but I do not see that being an issue around here-finding the right tub/spa-maybe?!?!?

I stopped by the store today and there are 2 tubs - really pretty ones - I will try and get a pic of them later on today. The store was not open yet and the person I talked to did not know the price.
