Researching Rudolfo/Adolfo

I know that most Mulege regulars have seen or knew of this iconic figure. I had the pleasure of a brief conversation and a sample of his singing one night in El Candil but his voice was very quiet (all the better to get the young gringa to lean in closer) and all I learned was that he had once been a mariachi that played several instruments.

I'm writing a series of short travel stories, one of which will feature this lovely man.

I'd like to be as accurate and detailed as possible, so if anyone here has any facts or stories they can share that would be much appreciated.

I went looking for the stuff Pompano wrote about him but I see it's all been deleted. (?)

Thanks everyone!
