WHERE IS YOUR BAJA HOME?

IN MY PREVIOUS POST….I asked WHERE DO YOU LIVE? …Wondering where your permanent NON-BAJA home is located.

WELL…IN THIS TOPIC I was hoping, THAT IF YOU OWN ONE, you could tell us about your BAJA home. Over the years, many Nomads have shown us pictures of their Baja casas, casitas, palapas, trailers or whatever it is that they call home while in Baja. Some have permanent full-time homes there and some just have a part-time residence, vacation or get away place.

BUT… Many other Nomads have places up and down the peninsula and have never shared anything or at most very little about it.

[SO…IF YOU WANT TO …tell us something about the place where you spend your time in BAJA. WHERE is it located? How long does it take you to drive there? How long have you been owned it? …etc, etc!

LIKE THE POST ABOUT your permanent home, Tell us as much or as little as you want to. Give us lots of details or just a few about your place. And for those of us who might be considering our own place in Baja, if you want to share it, we’d even love to know what you paid for your place and if it applies, how much your land lease or rent is per year.

AS YOU KNOW…we love pictures, so, if you want to include one, two or even lots of pictures, we would like to see them. AND…we always LOVE to see the pictures of your views, so those would be especially fun to see!

I’m NOT trying to be SNOOPY…I’m just wondering where Nomad amigos live. One of my favorite Baja areas is the beaches south of San Felipe, and I’m considering moving there permanently when I fully retire in a few years. I’ve met or read about quite a few Nomads who have homes in that area and I’d love to meet some more of them someday.

OTHER TIMES...and trips, it might be nice to stop by and say “hola” to other amigos and maybe share a cerveza as you pass through.

SO…IF YOU WANT TO SHARE…we’d like to hear and see what you have to share!!!

First everbody posts a photograph of themselves.
Now everybody posts just where they live exactly.
No I think I'll steer clear of this one.

Amo is not asking for exact GPS locations... a photo of your Baja home or 'spot' doesn't have to include the location. As Michael says: "Tell us as much or as little as you want to."

How about a new post entitled "Nomads Post your FICO Score!"

Naw just kidding...

Me thinkst this nice old gentleman in the Santa Beard may possibly be a troll all to familiar to this board.

You all remember the one who Loves posting personal information about Nomads, often degrading them and printing out right lies in most cases about anyone who has anything to do with the love of Baja or Mexico in general.

But if you are not and truly a grand old gentleman who lives in Vista, California and is looking for folks who share your common interest in Baja California then by all means, welcome to the Baja Nomads.

Wrong... Amo Pescar has been on the Internet as Amo Pescar for over 11 years. He was on Amigos de Baja originally (as were many of us) and I met Amo in 2000 when he attended my first Viva Baja events...

That's Amo on the left talking to Doug (Baja Nomad) and Kacey Smith (Baja GPS Guide). Also in the photo: Jack Swords, Graham Mackintosh, M, the Humfreville's, Eric Robitaille (Amigos de Baja) and I am standing on the right. October, 2000.

In April, 2001 Amo and I began exploring Baja destinations we might take clients on a proposed tour business. The events of 9-11 that year extinguished plans. Photo by Neal Johns who showed us Rancho San Gregorio, on the Camino Real.

Amo Pescar is a good guy.

Baja Casa

Here is a part of our Baja casa which we inhabit 4-5 months a year. The scenery varies from time to time. The casa has resided year-long in Marina de la Paz for the past 12 years. The little girl who is in charge of steering is our grandaughter, 20 months old. Prior to bringing the boat down to La Paz, we had a casa in Todos Santos (now known as Todos) where the scenery varied little (11 years).

YES MEXICORN...YOU'VE ABSOLUTELY GOT IT RIGHT!!

I've been trolling this NOMAD board since 2006 collecting every little bit of information I could on members...just waiting to spring my devious plan to rob them all!!

And before that, I was on the old Amigos de Baja board since it's early days! And now that it's gone...who knows, maybe it had something to do with me scamming its members! Maybe they had to shut down to help stop my reign of terrror!!!!

Thanks for defending me David!

I posted the reply below to Mexicorn on the 'WHERE DO YOU LIVE?' TOPIC I posted.

But hey...even you may not know me as well as you think...I might be such a sophisticated hacker that I wrote and insatalled a highly advanced tracking bug program in my posts that tracks and logs the location of every reply to my posts. It's very similar to the ones I wrote for the Russians and the Red Chinese governments. But that was before the NSA and CIA caught me and made me go to work for them!!!

Michael C _ _ _ _ _ _

UH OH...Now I've done it...NOW you all know how many letters are in my last name and will figure out where I live. So now I guess I can kiss my rare and valuable collection of sports memorabilia good bye! They're sure to find the key to my safe deposit box and the password that's in the nightstand drawer next to my bed.

WOW MEXICORN...ARE YOU A LITTLE PARANOID????

Better be careful Brian...I'm going to come to Alpine and I'll be showing your picture around and checking EVERY home in town to see if you've gone to Baja!!

And hey Bajamedic...you'd better put some extra deadbolts on your doors and install some electronic surveillance because I'm on my way to Weaverville and Junction City to rob you blind!!!

And that goes for you too Absinvestor...my gang buddies from the Denver Hood should be knocking door to door right now looking for your house and just waiting for you to leave. Sure hope you don't niss your Big Screen TV to much!!!

Michael C  :tumble:  :tumble:

Oh crap...now you know the first letter of my last name and you know that I live SOMEWHERE in Vista...I guess I can kiss my extremely valuable coin collection goodbye!!

San Felipe

Our main Baja place is in San Felipe. Picture is from a few years ago. It's as simple as it can be. Outdoor campsite, fire pit, outdoor kitchen...and the beach is a stone's throw.

Posting information on the net should indeed be done with extreme caution. I get G-Men and C.I.A. operatives dressed as Santa Claus sneaking around all the time. Thank the Gods that the Cartels dont know my home is in Campos Ocotillio :o

Hi Fez,

I love San Felipe. I know your area well, I used to have a lot at Pete's. Spent more time in the South Campos area though. I like that area a lot!

Better watch out for me. I'll be arriving in S.F. on the ABC bus tomorrow afternoon, with my BIG red velvet bag and black mask in hand. That big red bag can sure carry a lot of loot!!

Above is photo of our home in Bahia De Los Angeles. We put a new roof on last week and all the Palapa fronds fell apart, we have no plans of replacing them at this time. We also installed security bars which can be lifted and attached to the roof so we can see clearly out the windows.

Below is before Palapa roof removal, you can see how deteriorated the roof is. The plywood was delaminated and the guys stepped through the roof in two spots.
