El Camino Real & El Arco Road

On Google Earth I think this is the intersection of the two?
28D 8'-52" and 113D16'-15". Looks to be about 3 miles west of the intersection of El Arco road and the Newer road going south to Vizciano.
We'll be there midweek and would like to be able to figure it out.

Hi Jim,

I have a whole series here on Nomad on finding the Camino Real in Baja... Here is the San Borja to Santa Gertrudis section link (also listed in my Baja Missions web pages):

http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=36002

Here is a map showing the Camino Real (with arrows and numbers) in that area. #22 is the El Arco road crossing:

Every number is an image from space where you can see the Jesuit road... all found in the pages I made here on Nomad.

The 'new' shortcut road to Guillermo Prieto is drawn in on the 2003 Baja Almanac map (I drove it in 2001).

Here is an image of the Camino Real (looking southbound) where it crosses the El Arco road (point #22 on map):

Thanks DK, this is just what I was thinking was the trail. Don't know how much time we will spend in this area, probably depends on how much time we spend with Poncho.
I'll post a few photos of the area.

Great... and I hope you find Pancho doing well. He was such a great host to my kids and I when we popped in to have dinner there after searching for the lost mission (Dec. 2002).
