Nah. Having had the privilege of meeting him, and knowing many total drunks, he has a ways to go to qualify. Many creative writers tipped a few, Hemingway comes to mind, didn't stop their admirers from hailing them as conquering heroes.

Drinking isn't one of the seven deadly sins in Nomadlandia. Boring and overly judgmental seem to qualify. Lighthen up, darlin'.

Knew that was coming. Pompano won't. Hemingway didn't have co-pilot.

i agree. he sounds like a mean drunk too.
he could have killed someone, just lucky he didn't. perhaps he killed a few perros (anybody missing their dog?). who knows what he hit - seems pompy doesn't even know.
it is odd that nomads are glorifying pompy's drunken driving.
drunk drivers are the worst scum of society.

i think his story of drunken exploits has nothing to do with the original drunken declaration of never posting again.

Lady,

I am an alcoholic and know of where I speak. I also have seen him in action at Jungla Jims. He is a drunk and his friends do him a disservice by not urging him to seek help. Don't enable!!

Well Roger, you did cause quite a scene in town, gave the locals something to talk about or should I say to get really upset about. I am really surprised that you were able to remember as much as you did. We all love you, please remember NO MORE RUM!!!!!!!!

What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

Been there, done that and that:(......LOL. We now sitck to Mechaladas........You were looked after by other Mulegenos and what a privilege that is......Glad to see you're back. We don't post much but browse each day. We always enjoy your posts, stories and fantastic photos as we are always Baja Dreamin".

Hold off judgement Nomads as we have all had nostalgic thoughts of Nomadlandia of BACK In The DAY with a Cuba Libre or 2 or 3.....

Nah, there's lots worse....you must lead a very sheltered, whatever you might call it, life I guess.

Come ride along with a few of the pigs feeding at the public trough and we'll show you some of the real scum of society....ever play with some biker Aryans on meth with weaponry?
Get a grip my sheltered one.
People flock up.....hopefully his mea culpa is a page turning.

On edit, as difficult and ugly as it can be to do, a true friend would have not let him drive.
Friends do the hard things when they need doing.
