the Food Bank is....

Last week at the McFez Party , I finally met Chuck (Nomad aka CDB ) and his better half. What great folks. What's better is that Chuck is from my hometown! Now Chuck is one hell of a character. Full of funny remarks and very up front sort of dude.

They help run the San Felipe Food Bank AKA Voluntarios Sin Limites/ Volunteers without Limits

A great set at their new building. While visiting....there were other BN's in the store...dropping off a new'ish bike. The store is filled with good stuff...better than the Goodwill guys :-)

They take in just about anything a family would need such as clothing, school supplies, blankets, towels, rice, beans, flour and can goods.......good used furniture and appliances are really good. The other thing that is needed is Ensure. They provide therapy for disabled children and some can't eat solid food. See them! Address and directions is on their website

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Thanks Deno.
Just to be clear, Volunteers Without Limits is a Mexican non profit which is actually run by an incredible lady Patricia Orozco Rea (Patty). Susan and I are there to help her and do whatever needs to be done to keep this very much needed project going. We are currently feeding about 150 families. We deliver to the elderly and home bound. everyone else comes to the food bank to get food.
I encourage anyone that has questions about this organization to come and see for yourself what we do. If you really want a reality check, you can come with me on a Saturday distribution.

We need all of the help we can get. Almost any kind of donation is good. All of the money from the segunda is used to purchase food and pay the rent.

Thank you to everyone for your support!

Yes indeed, we have moved. We are now located in Los Arcos across the street from the Buen Pastor hospital. Turn at the Oxxo close to the arches. Go to the second stop sign and turn right. We are down 3 blocks on the left in the purple building on the corner. Please stop by and check us out.

I've dropped off clothes at the old location near the
Arches, delivering food to the older SF Residents
is very noble of you and the staff that run this org.
Do you still sell the donated items as a Thrift
Store sort of operation?
Nice work

Yes we still have the thrift store. ALL money made from the thrift store is used to buy food. I don't know about about "noble", I'm just doing what is in my heart.
