peeed Off

Someone posted this on my board, interesting take.

Okay, Now I?m peeed??.

Maybe it was because I had a few colds ones last night or maybe the fact that my dog is sick has affected my judgment, but last night I was watching the local news here in Ensenada and just couldn?t believe what I was hearing.

There was this city official of sorts sitting at a table with a microphone going off on the Zona Rojo. He was saying how they were in the process of closing down the bars on Miramar Street because of all the drugs and problems the bars created.

Now not that I am going to try and defend all the bars and it probably wouldn?t be such a bad idea if a few went away?. A few of the more let?s say, less vigilant of what takes place in their establishments. Owning a bar is like owning any other business and if people are breaking the law and you knowingly let this take place in your place of business you deserve to be closed down, I don?t think anyone disagrees with that.

The problem that I have or better yet, what peeed me off was the excuses and the passing off of the blame to the bars instead of lazy police that don?t want to do their jobs or have some type of an incentive not to do their job? you choose.

I have had the experience of being on / passing down this street hundreds of times over the past 20 plus years and it has changed very little in that time. Yeah the people you see change as some leave and new ones take their place but the general look and feel hasn?t changed a bit.

I am not a police officer nor have I ever had any formal training, but it doesn?t take a trained eye to see the problems or the problem people. At any given time of the day you can see passed out drunks on the sidewalk, prostitutes working the streets and drugs being handed from one to another?. and all being done right in front of slowly passing police cars. It?s outrageous! And then to see the report on TV last night with all the shinny new cop cars picking people up made me laugh before it peeed me off, it looked like a police promo commercial, really!

Listen up badly dressed city official, first, before you hit the airways, comb your hair. Second, clean up the street, the street these bar owners pay taxes on to be safe and clean not to mention police salaries. Then sit down with the bar owners and develop a plan that meets both theirs and the communities interest and track your progress.

Passing the blame to a handful of bar owners for the shape this street is in will only create resentment and never take care of the root problem.

Tequila Please.

yes Tio this is a problem in every town and city in Mexico. and it all comes down to corruption.and it runs from the vary bottom , the man that sweeps the street, to the vary top, the people that run the country. there is no easy solution that I can see. maybe some one on this forum will come up with it.

Doesn?t take a brain surgeon

I just thought it was an interesting take on the same old problem. I too have seen exactly what this posted wrote about. And like this poster I saw the report and just laughed?. It was that mucho, look what we tough cops are doing take?. My mom could walk down that street and point out the problems?. Doesn?t take a brain surgeon or cop for that matter?

Hose A,

No I was just stating that I saw the same report as Tequila Please and was agreeing that anyone could see these problems?. It is obvious the police are not interested in fixing the problem? or have an incentive not to?.

Tio, hell,,,, maybe I'm the one who needs a drink....

Solve the Problem!

The Best and only way to solve this problem is through a good Dose of God!!

Send some good ministers with a good Grip on the bible , Korean, etc and get these Sinners to stop Drinking, that would Solve the problem.

It is very much the same with the Rich Workers of america that leave work every Day, spend several Hours in their Local Bar, getting Soused. The cops standby and Arrest them for Drunken Drivin!

Just teach them that there is a Lot more to Life than spending your Time Drinking!!
