This Just In...

According to mi amigo David Flores of the Gringo Gazette, the following in Cabo offer wifi:

Baja Cantina both on the marina and on Medano Beach

Tiki Bar on the marina

Solomon's Landing on the marina

Captain Tony's on the marina.

Sensing a pattern here in that all of these businesses are close to each other and vying for the same customers.

In addition, David tells me that the Hard Rock Cabo also provides free wifi to customers.

FWIW, in Italy, I was charged $5 euros ($7 USD) for 1/2 hour on the hotel lobby's public PC for internet access.

Shari in Bahia Asuncion does the same.

Restaurant Playa Buenaventura in Concepcion Bay also offers free wifi.

The Restaurant-Bar Quintin in San Quintin now offers free wifi to its customers. Located on the west side of the highway, just north of the bridge. Ask Miguel or any of his friendly staff for the password...

In La Paz, Cafenio's coffee shop on the malecon about 4 doors south of the corner of 16 de septiembre and the malecon. It's a small open plaza modern little coffee shop with a perfect unfettered view of the bay and tons of electrical outlets for laptop hookups. Perfect. I spend a couple of hours there almost every day I am in La Paz. When I leave, I usually go next door to the open air bar and have a margarita or two, use their free internet or watch their flat screen TV also.

Wasting time in Baja is one of life's greatest pleasures and rewards. Free internet access is an additional perk.

Here's a map of Starbucks Locations in Baja since each cafe has wifi. Three in Tijuana, two in Mexicali and one in Ensenada. In Baja Sur, one in La Paz, two in Cabo San Lucas, one in San Jose del Cabo and one in Palmilla.

Thanks!
I'm the wrong person to report in on this topic since I'm a hardwired desktop user....but the coffee shop was still open the when I went to the P.O. a week ago.;) But I can tell you absolutely positively for certain that the Exquisito coffee shop on the hwy between El Centenario & Chametla right in front of Campestre Marantha RV Park is still shooting out a free signal. Hope this helps.

You are right longlegs.....there is free wifi at Cafe Esquisito at km - 11 between Chemetla and El Centenario. There is a computer to use if needed. BTW.....if anyone stops to use it or get some sort of refreshment, say hello to the proprietor Josef. Our Great - nephew. And he IS a great nephew!!

I don't have a daytime photo of the place but here is a night one from Christmas time.

This is what the sign looks like on the corner.

Audrey and I have traveled all over the world and so far every MacDonalds we've visited has free wi-fi. We just pull in to the parking lot and get online from our rental car!

It's as easy as that!

Molino Viejo WiFi

They just open their wifi spot at Molino Viejo Restaurant beautiful and quiet place to stop by.

They also have the new museum open with exclusive new photos of San Quintin at the 19th century.

Here is an interactive map tool.

This thread from 2007 discussed possibility of a Nomad interactive map.

Lots of wifi hot spots suggested here on this thread.

Only problem is that you need wifi connectivity to find out where to get the connectivity.:lol::lol:
