Same distributor...different brewery. Pacifico is made in Mazatlán and I have no idea about Corona....possibly Monterey.
Definitely different brews.

Partially correct. Grupo Modelo sells a number of beer brands, including Pacifico, Modelo and Corona. Although at one time, each of their brands were
distinct and separately owned, today, they are brewed in virtually any of the breweries that Modelo controls.

That may be so, but Pacifico and Corona are positively not the same brew. They're not made in the same vats at the same time or with the same
ingredients and process. (Nor Modelo, tho I'm not very familiar with their lager.) To say they're made in the same facility isn't really saying
much.

Just saying that with the mass consolidation of companies, the beers you mention are no longer brewed in a single local brewery. Hence, the Budweiser
brewey in Van Nuys produces Kirin for the Japonese brewer. Imported? No way.
That said, Femsa (Coca Cola and Oxxo, among other things), just last year sold off their beer business to Heineken. So, a number of so-called Mexican
beers, such as Tecate and Bohemia (and many others) are now controled by Heineken.
So, with the exception of local specilty brewers, most of the beer in the entire world is produced by a handful of conglomerates.
Even then, for those of you who are fans of the Boston Beer Company and the Samuel Adams bunch, the truth is that outside of the home office, where
they actually work on designing product, all of the Sam Adams beers you may buy are produced under contract at breweries all over the country.

Whose stated opinion indicates a preference for "Light" Beer should not be taken seriously.
For that matter, those who FREEZE their Beer show no taste, either.
One of the few thoughts I share with a Good German friend is his oft-repeated complaint that "Americans" ruin Beer by getting it too cold.

Number 1 beer in the clubs were Bud long necks. Hands down. We always had the beers in ice water bins.
With all the responses here....maybe I should reopen in Baja
Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

"Serve at 40-45 Degrees F".
During the Winter in Baja, I don't even refrigerate the Beer. Which, sometimes, draws a Q from a guest. But, they never turn it down.

Well, that's a mouthful. When Lowenbrau sold the US label to one of the US companies, it became swill (not just brewed here). My bet is that if
Kirin is brewed here, it's not what it was. (No recent experience.) Ditto Killian's Red. What a flockin joke. A Coors is a Coors is a Coors.
But I say you're wrong about most of the craft brews. I think you are exactly right about Fat Tire. Something (terrible) happened when they went
national. They no doubt did give away the product and now it sucks. But Sam Adams? Really? I can tell you categorically that is not true of most
of the real craft beers. Not Sierra Nevada; not Anchor (Steam); not any of 'em that I drink.

Why wait? I'm sure KT would love the brewing equipment in the kitchen. Well, maybe not, but she may like the product.
Home brewing can be really easy. Especially beers like ales. Stay away from secondray fermentation, like lagers. I love ales, porters, etc.
I remember the first time in Bahia, with our popup camper. Stayed at La Gringa in July!!!! Hot Hot Hot! I forget his name, but there was a man who
live in the bay, in one of the northern corners, that came by to collect the fees. I negotiated for some dark ale for some of the days, and I remember
the stunned look on his face when he tasted it.
Brewing is fun, can be real easy depending on the type, and waaaayyyy better than what you buy in the store.

Your first time in Bahia, that must have been a few ages ago.
I love the IPA too. Right now I'm enjoying a Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA.
I'm thinking that Soulpatch should follow Roberto's advice. Why wait? Start now and I'll be happy to sample the goods.

My bro-in-law home brews and his specialty is IPA. He was here tonight for wife's pork ribs,sopa frita,black beans and fried platanos and he brought a
60 minute IPA that was delish. If you have more then two pints you best not drive.

Or, we could have a jam session and KT could sing in Spanish while we make beer. This is getting interesting. I may have to bring Gina along. She
can't play, and can't speak Spanish, and doesn't make or (really) drink beer, but I'm sure she'll have a good time watching us try to do all of the
above.
