Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Those same cows are hanging out at the Jersey milk place in Rosarito Beach- right on the fourth toll road exit mid-town. Plastic cows on the moooo-ve.

Say isn't there a dairy, at the junction of the old road into TJ and Toll road... it would be located on the west side of the old road .. ?

Saw what appeared to be milking shed and a couple of vertical tanks..

Never stopped and looked closely... just used the Google Earth, but couldn't see pole barns for feed... but, could see feeding troughs and a few animals...

Maybe a feed lot.. .but not sure..

The dairy is located south of Rosarito at the exit for Medio Camino. East side of the toll road

Holsteins are larger animals and produce much more milk than do Jerseys.

A typical Holstein cow will produce about 19,000 pounds of milk over its lifetime, with a butterfat of about 3.7% (lowest among common cow breeds in the U.S.)

A Jersey cow, on the other hand, will produce only about 13,000 pounds of milk, but with a buttefat of about 4.7%, which is the highest among common breeds.

Cross-breeding used to be frowned upon, but a couple of web sites I found in researching this question claim that organic dairy farmers are beginning to prize Holstein-Jersey hybrids. A Holstein sire and Jersey heifer cross apparently produces a hybrid with the best characteristics of each breed. According to this web site, for one: http://organic.lovetoknow.com/Organic_Holstein_Jersey_Heifer...
