The Jersey Dairy at Cuenca Lechera

Has been very responsive to complaints from new (cough, gringo gated community) residents.

They are not obligated to do anything about "smells", but they do try to respond.

In the last ten years, the ocean pollution runoff and fly bloom have decreased signifcantly.

They are a good neighbor and if you are in the area, you might want to dirive up to take a look at the beautiful, fantastical park/playground and bungalows that they have built for their employees.

At one point, a few years ago, they were also home for the world's oldest living man. He rode with Pancho Villa and spent his last years (died at 112) being reverently cared for at the Jersey Dairy complex.

Jan....it seems you are becoming an apologist for negatives in your area.
Are you being paid?
Your motives seem to be generated by the city of Rosarito rather than concerns of a more pressing reality...those of victims of crime or circumstances.
I don't think you sell realestate, but I believe you pimp restaurants in your area. Is that an accurate assesment?
Would it be contrary to your interests to admit that you live in a cesspool of blood and body parts?
I'm betting it would.
Your comment on the obligations of the dairy are unbecoming of you or anyone else who isn't victimized by it. If you had to breathe it day after day, you may be more sympathetic, but.....you don't. Instead, you champion the right of the dairy to defile the air we breathe.
What is this loyalty to corruption worth to you?
Perhaps you and your turncoat type are the new Cartel.

An in depth question and very graphic?! Blood and body parts make me think Dennis has witnessed such crimes. Viet Nam or late nite movies? I hear the Tiger Woods Jersey Dairy may expand from Maneadero to Punta Banda? Milk with Sea Salt with a touch of Corralejo! Go gettum Gypsy, you Turncoat? Let's all sing a Donovan song! Easy, Tio

Apologist for Negatives?

"I love the smell of cow s*** in the morning."

(Edited to work in a Martin Sheen shout-out. Sorry, Charlie, if you are reading this, I apologize for taking shameless advantage of your own obsession with "Apocalypse Now")

It reminds me of good times in my childhood.

Am I being paid? HA HA HA HA!

The jefe at Jersey most probably doesn't like me very much at all, if he even knows about me.

When the drain to the ocean burst and there was a 24-foot fountain of liquid cow manure shooting in the air, I took pictures and published it. They spent a lot of money and time redoing the drain structure on the property.

Also, years ago, I spent a lot of high profile time on their property trying to catch a feral Great Dane. The jefe called the cops and the dog was shot. I found the brass and blood on the road. They had already removed the body.

So, I know the negative, but feel called upon to report the positive.

Funny you said you like the smell of cows Jan.

When I was in grade school....each year there be a field trip to the Woodruff Diary in Arcadia. The smell of cows always takes me back 45 years

How do you tell the difference between Jersey milk and Holstein milk???????

Take a bucket and throw a silver dollar in it.

If the milk covers the silver dollar and you can't see the dollar, it is a Jersey.

If the milk fills the bucket and you can see the silver dollar, it is a Holstein.

At least that was the way in 1945!!!!!

I've toured the Jersey Dairy processing plant in Tijuana, it was very interesting and very clean.
